So I've been fiddling with the Pokémon sprites BB code here in LV. Apparently it can handle form differences just fine. But for whatever reasons I can't do anything about the mons with gender differences like Nidoran and Frillish. Any solutions?
hmm. i thought i had a post for this but this is all i've found. i do remember though that i found something like it was the same names as a website for sprites? so if i find that again i'll look for the gender differences and come back here
Ok I dug around the guts of the site and I was able to find what database the Pokémon sprites pull from. The nomenclature varies a bit and it looks like the Galar forms are missing in there (adding that to my to-do list) - For the Nidorans they are listed as nidoran_m and nidoran_f - Frillish seems to be female only I am looking to fix this first since its a big part of the line's identity. (funnily enough Jellicent is male only atm) - A lot of the smaller gender differences are not put in there just yet (I checked Pikachu and a couple of others with obvious marking changes) UPDATE: I fixed the jellies, it might take a bit to update. To get the female versions simply add a -f at the end of the name (frillish-f for example) UPDATE 2: I am stuck on a long work meeting so I took a few minutes to add the female pikachu sprites.
Lemme check it out... Okay, big welp. As seen there, both shiny Nidoran are broken (I used shinynidoran_m and shinynidoran_f respectively), and so is shiny male Pikachu (shinypikachu). And for whatever reasons, the female Frillish uses shiny colors despite not specified as shiny. Female Pikachu, male Frillish, and both Jellicent are all good, though.
Okay, just now I tried [Pokémon]shinydarkrai[/Pokémon] but the sprite borked. Here's what I got from it: And this is normal Darkrai:
Ok both the Darkrai and Piplup shinies should be fixed for the html posting. Might take a moment to update.
Some sprites just weren't loading right on my browser last night. Seems to be fixed but ponyta squirtle and mew just didn't load. IDK what's up with that.
