1x1 A typical Adventure (122xTala)

Evergreen blushed. She helped Mehealani put then necklace in place. "N-no... It's someone else." She tried hiding her blush, which was really difficult considering her skin was pale and anyone could easily see how pink it could get.

The home where Erynn's sister lived was located near the restaurant where Kirito and Evergreen ate together many days ago. If memory served Kirito right, he would recognise the restaurant. The only thing was that the house was not far from the restaurant too, and Kirito had never actually been to it (whereas Evergreen and Pikachu had stayed the night there before).

 

(I do like how Kirito remembers Evergreen as a Kirlia who kept following him around)

"Who?" the stranger said to Kirito. "Erynn? You mean the innkeeper? Her sister lives that house over there." He gestured Kirito to the house not far from the restaurant.

Evergreen still blushed. "I wouldn't have thought him to be the type to give gifts, but it was really thoughtful of him to give me this. When he did, he told me he had no clue what girls liked. I like it, for sure," she said.

Acerola decided to walk around with Drifblim for a little bit but eventually decided to head in the direction of the restaurant.

 

(Ha, what a coincidence. Seems like his mind won't let Evergreen go in that case)

Evergreen giggled at Pikachu's confused look. "Then it does become rewarding when someone finds out our tastes." She made sure she was seated low enough so Mehealani could reach around her neck to put on the necklace.

The door opened for Kirito and there stood a girl who was about as old as Kirito, and she had the same eyes as Erynn. She coughed loudly and sniffled. "M-medicine? For me?" she asked. "W-who are you?"

 

“Th-thanks,” Erynn’s sister took the bag. She seemed to remember something. “If…” She coughed. “If you could, I have something for Evergreen. Can you wait here for a moment?" Slowly, she turned around but stumbled into Kirito's arms instead. "S-sorry." She coughed again. There was a book at the kitchen where she wanted to gift Evergreen. It was an artbook, actually. But first, she needed to take some of the medicine.

Evergreen smiled. She took the flowers. "I really like them, Pikachu."

 

Erynn's sister looked back into Kirito's eyes to see his red face. She giggled but coughed again. She helped herself to the pouch of medicine, which was full of brown pills, and swallowed one of them. Soon, her coughing settled. "G-give me a m-moment," she whispered. Then she pulled Kirito to come along with her into her home and to the kitchen. It seemed like she had gotten some of strength back thanks to the medicine.

She weakly picked up the artbook, still holding Kirito's hand, and placed the book in the other hand. "This. Please give it to her."

Evergreen placed the flowers down, looking at Pikachu. "Oh? Thank me? For...?"

 

In fact, Erynn's sister's home was just like a tidy inn, similar to Erynn's inn. The thing was that she spent a lot of her time in bed, but with the medicine now, she might be on the road to recovery. She coughed again, thankfully not as hoarse as before. "It's g-got a lot of p-pictures I drew that she'll like. Want to see?"

She opened the first page, which showed a hand-drawn and detailed picture of Evergreen (easily identifiable by her sunhat, purse, and necklace) and Pikachu sitting beside herself in bed. It was the same image of Evergreen's visit just days ago. "I'm sure she'll like this," she said. Flipping to the second page, it was another well-drawn picture, this time showing the four heroes standing together. Kiseki, Kirito, Seline, and Maria - at least, it was her illustration of them since she had never seen any of the heroes in person. Then there was the third page showing the Pokémon: Evergreen, Chieri, and Azelia.

Erynn's sister smiled. "That's just the f-first three pages. Oh, and I've got a..." She coughed again. "...a letter for Erynn, if you could bring it to her."

Meanwhile, Evergreen felt something in her heart melt, thanks to the words she was receiving from her companions. She blushed pink. "Eheheh... I'm glad you both got to come along. I couldn't have done this without you. But honestly, I didn't do much for you both... You just came along with me."

(Going back to your idea from way back, perhaps Pikachu can stay with Erynn's sister after all, or with Mehealani, at least)

 

(Perhaps they could meet the valley guide in Malie City who allows Pikachu to stay with her, just as Kirito suggests she comes to send them off? Maybe Kirito could ask for her name haha. And then the guide accompanies them to Erynn's island since the valley is there too)

Erynn's sister went to find the letter. Her coughing had stopped for a bit. "Thank you," she said, who then passed the artbook and the letter to Kirito. However, she had to hold onto Kirito's arm again for support. "Ah, I'm s-sorry. I know you have to go, so I won't take too much of your time."

Evergreen smiled warmly at Mehealani. "I'm glad you had a fun adventure then. Make sure you don't forget it. Trust me, if you're going to travel the world, make sure you have good company and more than just you and Mimikyu. That was me during my big adventure with the heroes. There were many of us."

 

Erynn's sister smiled back weakly. "I'm Erina." She went to take another drop of medicine, which seemed to instantly rejuvenate her strength. "I'm glad you're here, as did Evergreen." Erina kept holding onto Kirito's arm. "S-so, will you be heading back to the pier?"

Evergreen, meanwhile, giggled. Did Pikachu stay up the whole night for her? She patted Pikachu's head, then she decided to rest a little more to regain her strength.

 

"W-wait..." Erina said, but Kirito had left already. She was happy that Kirito had kissed her forehead, but she felt like he could have stayed a little longer. She walked out to follow him, but at half his speed.

Whereas Acerola was waiting outside the garden for Kirito. "Well?" she said. "How did it go?"

Evergreen then said to Mehealani, "I think I can get back on my feet. Want to head out for a bit?"

 

"You'll want to go back to the pier then. If she lives off island, you'll have to get another boat," Acerola said. That, and Drifblim watched Kirito head to the pier anyway. At that point, they saw Erina make their way towards their direction, so Acerola and Drifblim went to check on her.

Evergreen wore her sunhat and purse once more as she and Mehealani walked out into the sunshine. The sun burned down on her, so Evergreen was thankful she had a sunhat. "Eh? That's a lot of Pikachu..." she remarked, seeing the guide and a horde of Pikachu near the pier. That said, she still needed to get gifts for Azelia, Leon, and Michelle. If there was time, she would head to the marketplace.
