The banter between Nora and Kai never failed to amuse Robyn. Eventually, once the last of the recordings were done, Robyn called everyone back to order. Gosh. Managing a club was in a way harder than managing a small army (it was what she did as a tactician last year).

So they met up at the park entrance, bordering the road that happened to lead to Parthia Plaza and Iris-shi Station.

“Right! That was fun! I’ll have to bring these home and edit them… and I hope you don’t mind if I upload them to Ebuto. I’ll be sure to do so this week,” she added, nodding specifically at Kai to ensure he would send the videos to her. “Once again, happy birthday, Nora-chan! I’ll get you something at the next meeting!”

(No problem. There was no Whatsapp equivalent... Until now. The only other equivalent I could think of at the moment is Luigi Kart - as an answer to Mario Kart. As for a Google Drive... How about we call it Zero Drive? An indirect answer to OneDrive)

4/23 Tuesday: Evening; Robin’s Residence, Robyn’s Room

By the time Robyn got back to Robin’s hone, she checked her messages on Whazzap for the files that Kai had sent to her. Even though it was the middle of the week, she stayed up that Tuesday night to view, review, and edit the videos.

It occurred to her, however, that there was no video of Tala. Then at just the right time, Robin went to show her what he had recorded.

Once all was seen and done, and edited, Robyn uploaded the videos to Ebuto, using an account dedicated to the Ylisstol High School Talent/Idol Club. She second guessed herself if she should drop the ‘idol’ part of the name.

The following day, Robyn was half-asleep at school. During lunch break, she slept on her desk!

Then near the end of the week, she was receiving the signs that midterms were coming up. As a result, Robyn had little time to monitor her club activities for the week and had nearly forgotten to send out the email reminder for the next meeting. In that time, she also monitored the Ebuto video she uploaded - which was a compilation of everyone’s recordings. After that, she and Robin made dinner for Morgan, and then proceeded to study. If there was time, they could play Generals of Hyrule, or Luigi Kart, or head out to the ARTA arcade in Gartenstadt.

The next meeting would occur on Friday next week at the school field - exactly ten days before midterms. In other words, right before the week before midterms.

5/1 Wednesday: Late Night; Robin’s Residence, Robyn’s Room

Just days before the next meeting, as she went to bed, Robyn went to check the status of her uploaded video. They had hit 2000 views! That wasn’t bad for a startup club without any kind of fame.

Comments were posted too. Things like:
“We’ve got stars in the making!”
“all of them look cute :0”
“Hey! they’ve got a boy in there…?”
"That boy might as well be the MC"
“Let’s pick our OTPs lol”
“Just how fast are those violin fingers?
“School talent idol club? For talent or for idols?”
“Idol club! They’ll be superstars!”
“I think I’m in luv”
“I can see my house in there!”
“That piano and violin duet is an interesting pair”
"i like her glasses"
"That girl with the black and pink hair has the voice of Naga!!!"
"I've those girls. They're from my school"
"I could join but i wanna watch them instead!"
"Maybe they could pop up at the Summer Scramble?"
"They're all so good-looking!"
"I feel like I've seen that Robyn girl before at school..."

5/3 Friday: Lunchtime; Ylisstol High School

Earlier last week, Robyn had also taken the liberty to upload the promotional videos separately to see how each one would react. She hoped against hope that her video would receive the most views because she didn’t want to see all the embarrassing stuff people would write about her. So throughout the week, she caught up on more chapters of Culinary Rivals with Robin, studied and prepared for midterms, and also worked on her term papers and projects. There was so much to do! And it would only get worse once midterms were over - possibly like double the workload.

During lunchtime, she took a moment to review the comments on the individual videos. First, the main video had now amassed 3000 views!

Maya's video got 600 hits ("Love her style!" "that's a flashy shirt she has" "Her style screams of passion!" "she's my type haha" "she is on faiyah" "Just how long has she played guitar?!!" "Is she a star already? Time will tell")

Nora and Kai's video got a shocking 1500 hits ("He's a natural MC" "yup yup they're quite a pair" "Nice outfits! Will they be for the stage too?" "ooh siblings performing together at the same club?!" "they are talented!" "She's adorable!" "let's start a fan club for them!")

Whereas Alexa's video attracted a modest 500 hits ("Whoa! She wants to have a crack at THE Scramble?" "i wonder what her voice actually sounds like" "now I want to see an MV of her" "Her hairstyle is very idol-like" "Will she be Ylisstol's next school idol?")

Tala's video even got some 600 hits, which was a compilation of Robin's earlier recording with the improvised footage from Kai ("Cuuuute!" "As they say, the nervous ones sound the best!" "Re: You just made that up!" "She's in a hurry isn't she?" "She says she doesn't have stage fright" "Stage fright? What's that?" "Re: please tell me you know what stage fright is!!")

Robyn's video got 200 hits, which Robyn was very grateful for that. She wanted to be less conspicuous about her video, after all. Even so, the comments made her blush ("does she know what club she's in?" "The 'Talent/Idol Club', huh? interesting title" "who else in the world has twintails like hers?" "Awwww Meloetta plush!!!" "now we all know she loves Pokketo")

Then she put away the video and started on her lunch.

5/3 Friday: After School; Ylisstol High School, School Field

The school bell rang to signal the end of the day. That was when Robyn packed up her belongings and made her way to the field.

The school field was located behind the school. Bordering the field were the city streets of Iris-shi, of which across the street from across the school led to a convenience store that was frequented by the students. An express bus to Aritia also ran by this field, for anyone wishing to get convenient access to the city if no one wanted to walk to the station.

It was bright and sunny outside with a few clouds. Robyn placed her bag full of schoolbooks and notebooks on the ground beside her. In her hands were a strawberry crepe and an apple tea from the school shop. They had run out of melon pan for the day (and Robyn wasn't craving a curry pan), so this was what she settled on.

 

Robyn waved at Tala. She placed the snacks beside her bag and then reviewed her agenda. Today, the club would review the results of the promotions, followed by deciding on a venue at or near the school for their first performance, maybe a music demonstration, and (she figured this would be a shocker to everyone) a workout on the field.

Just outside the school gate, Maribelle (one of Robyn's friends, who was also part of the Shepherds) went to see that her younger brother Brady had arrived. After a brief conversation, it turned out Brady had heard about the school talent/idol club from his school and wanted to ask Maribelle about it. Now this was the first time that Maribelle had heard about it too, so she searched up information about the club and was amused that Robyn was leading it.
