I’m going through a lot of work drama, and getting caught in the middle. A cousin sent me a job application to fill out, where I would be a receptionist for a school system. It’d be more hours and more stress, but at least they would be putting in something for my retirement.
So far the new year has been mostly smooth sailing for me. The main obstacle I've had was trying to register for classes for this semester (lots of waitlisted classes), but thankfully I got that all sorted out.
I've had the same thing happen. I wanted to sign up for my classes after I knew how my last semesters' were graded and it nearly came back to bite me because the soonest I could after that was January 11th....the day my classes started. I'm very lucky to have gotten into any at all because they were all full by the time I could open up the student page.
Huh, it has been unusually quiet around here... Hard to believe it is already summer! Do you people have any special plans to enjoy the (hopefully) good weather in the coming weeks?
The weather is not nice here lol. We love the lovely hurricane season storms. The power flickered out at our house for a split second. I was making dinner and was worried the power would be go out completely. But oh well, at least the rain prevents people from launching fireworks.
Laughs in summer already ended a month ago and we're starting school in a few weeks Jokes aside, this break has been pretty tame. Not a lot of storms compared to when we went up north last month, and I've mostly spent the rest of this time gaming and reading the news.
Now I'm starting to feel sorry for you people... At least Jup had a somewhat great time. I hope you get through the season safely! To be honest, it's somehow unimagimable to me that the power would just go off... Such a thing has never happened here. I guess that just goes to show that constant access to electricity is indeed a privilege. I hope you don't have to suffer an extended blackout. Also, why are people launching fireworks in your area at this time? Is there something I missed? I can relate to that. Luckily, the past few days have been manageable around here, but we've already had some trying temperatures. Worst thing is that, once a certain temperature has been reached, I'm barely able to sleep (maximum of 2-3 hours), so my productivity goes down in the cellar and I end up feeling exhausted and tired for the coming days. Let's just hope we have a few rainy days coming our way.
It rained yesterday and it was great. Today it didnt rain at all and I feel like I'm in a steamer. I almost cant wait fo r school to start, if only for the fact I can hide in the air conditioned classrooms to cool down.
It's 4th of July here in America, so people launch fireworks to celebrate. I hate fireworks. Yeah they're pretty, but they're also obnoxiously loud. I was hoping it would rain again, but it didn't.
Ah, yikes. Where I'm from we have firework shows, but they're only organized and nobody's really allowed to set them off for themselves. Or at least they do so using common sense.
