Yo! I dunno where my old thread went, but since I'm getting a little bit back into things around here, guess I might as well start this up again.

Sup! I'm Northwind's Call, also known as The Fifth Whisper. Go ahead and ask me (almost) anything! I will reserve some information about myself, but most everything is good to go.

 

First got into Pokémon back in the days of Gold and Silver, introduced to it by the older brothers, who got it from school or sumthin'. Iunno.

My favorite color is purple, followed by orange. Nice colors.

I've been on LV since... late August, I think? Maybe half a year or so. I took a bit of a hiatus last month, though.

 

Fav Pokémon is Suicune, followed by Lapras, then a few other odds and ends like Togekiss, Milotic, etc.

Favorite youtuber-- Kyle Landry ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk0UErv9b4Hn5ucNNjqD1UQ ). Pretty cool guy, also streams himself playing piano and LoL on Twitch. I play a few matches with him and company now and then.

I didn't eat breakfast yesterday. Older brother had people over, so I skipped.

You should stay in school and not do drugs because if you do, you will not be able to sustain yourself well enough to have time and energy to regularly visit our forums and hang with chill people like me.

 

I don't know what I want to do with my career. Maybe something in the realm of languages, that's always been my forte.

I kinda miss being a gym leader for LV, but I don't miss dealing with the people who wanted to do tryouts. Most of those people... //groans

Ah! I first heard of VGC when a friend of mine at school was poking fun at me for playing Pokémon and asked me if I was going to Seattle Regionals (back in 2014). I was like 'wtf' and he was like 'go google it'. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it due to real-life events, but I watched all the matches that were streamed later, and eventually watched a whole bunch of videos on Nugget Bridge's YouTube channel. Thanks, anonymous friend who pokes fun at me for playing Pokémon-- you've only made it worse. :>

I think it's an interesting theory, but I was always bothered by the fact that the Three Dogs were introduced in the same generation as Espeon and Umbreon -- if the theory was true, why wouldn't there be a Legendary Dog Quintuplet instead?

Being the most fed Rengar on the North American server. Knowing that you can destroy anyone else in less than two seconds is a good feeling.

I played Runescape a little bit a long time ago, maybe three or four years.

I used to be a Gym Leader for LV, though I left the position to Slash towards the beginning of January, as I recall.

Yeah, I do love me some Crocune. As I've messed around with more and more OU, I've realized it isn't always a viable strategy, so I haven't run it in quite some time, sadly. I love the way it plays, the way you can flat out go from losing 1-5 to winning 1-0. My favorite part is getting crit, so I can cry a little and laugh really hard. Getting crit and losing the sweep is the reason I run Crocune over Slowbro, really, haha.

Mega Charizard Y gets the honor for being an incredible powerhouse in both singles and, more importantly, the VGC format. Most of my teams this year, and a good chunk of them towards the end of last year, have revolved around this fire-breathing dragon. It brings so much offensive presence, a surprising amount of bulk, and changing up the weather can change up the game, you know? I love it
