    My favorite album was Taylor Swift's 1989 and my favorite song was Ariana Grande's Best Mistake. Though both are technically of the pop genre, they really made 2014 grand for me.

    Taylor Swift really made an impact later in this year with Shake It Off and Blank Space. But who can forget the LEGO movie song, Everything Is Awesome, or Pharrell's catchy tune called Happy?
