2018 is rolling to a close as we speak. There has been some good, some bad, some funny, some sad and a whole lot of crazy stuff that's happened this year. I'm interested in finding out about the good, happy parts of your 2018. So let's hear it, what stuff in 2018 happened for you/did you take part in that you will fondly look back on? Feel free to list them out in bullet points and also post again whenever you think of something new! I'll start. I became an Administrator across the site. I made a ton of new friends from other servers that are now on LV as well! I vacationed during the winter holidays and (am currently) having a great time. I began taking graphic design commissions and have improved both as an artist and made a good bit of money on the side. Your turn!
I joined LV full stop. My boyfriend joined up. I made tons of new friends on here. I've gotten to show my art and it seems people really like it. I started Animating and even began to make a Fanime Going hand in hand with the above dot point I started a Youtube channel and have more subscribers than I thought I'd get (I thought I'd have like 3 max but ended up with 36 which is pretty neat).
I completed a whole year on LV! I got THE BEST avatar for me(my current one) from @AeroHail which I love!
I've begun to take my stories and art seriously, and now feel like I'm getting better in both areas. I've returned to LV after months of inactivity, and even made friends here. In the real world, I've begun to separate from my dependence upon people. This is a good thing for me because it means I won't have to take orders all the time to do what needs to be done. And I think that's it... Yep!
Graduate from highschool Currently finished half a year of college. Drove my first stick shift car without crashing.
Entered a new relationship which is still going strong and has been excellent for my mental health. Adopted a new kitten! Purchased a large forum community and am now a webmaster....although I still have quite a lot to learn hahaha Bettered my anxiety by a lot. I still struggle in certain situations, but it's a lot more tolerable and I actually feel quite good about myself. =) Played FFXIV for the first time! This game became very important to me and has gave me many lovely memories. All I can think of for now, but it's actually more than I thought. ♡ Am hopeful 2019 will be even better!
Joined LV, I’m here to stay btw Made rifle line in marching band Improved on my flag skills too Got many seals plushies Improved on my photo editing skills Made some friends irl and on here and wattpad I kept up with the popular memes the whole year (except for July), that’s the first time I’ve done that (and I’m doing it for 2019 as well, yay) I also was keeping up with all the smash directs and let’s go news and stuff Edit: I went from a casual player to a competitive player for Pokémon and Smash Bros (sort of) Finally played a Fire Emblem gave (even if it’s FE heroes) Found a new TV show to watch (Ducktales reboot) Started shiny hunting
I survived a huge cross country move and have a stable friend group! In the meantime, I’ve been able to keep in touch with my old friends. I’ve started going to art club, which I highly enjoy and love with all my heart. I started studying under a highly advanced violinist and got into All Northwest Orchestra! I finally posted some of my fanfiction and it’s been well received so far! I managed to mostly stabilize my mental health since the move and have found great ways to cope. Here’s to hoping 2019 brings just as good, if not better highlights!

2018 was the year... I finally decided to do something about my anxiety issues. Although I haven't started therapy quite yet (I'll be going on the 14th of Jan), even just excepting that I need help was a huge milestone for me. I became much more interested in music. I've always loved listening to music, but this year I went from listening to 2 albums a week - to a minimum of 4 a day. Over 61000 minutes of music listening according to my Spotify wrapped. I've discovered so many new artists that I'd never heard of before and I'm still searching for more! I joined Lake Valor, one of the best and most laid-back forums I've ever joined. I became a staff artist for LV! Started dabbling in photo editing and manipulation. So far it's going pretty good!
- I increased my health from immobile skeleton to healthy human by combining the strength of modern medicine and personal willpower. - I started the process of finding a house to purchase (and finally move out of my parents'), though most of that time has been spent spinning my tires. - I advanced through role and responsibility around here, which I guess is nice too! It feels good to be relied upon.
This year, I... Came back to LV, and somehow became a mod a few months later! Worked for a full year, for the first time ever. Which is a huge personal accomplishment for me after four years of inactivity and general health anxiety that effectively paralysed me from doing anything. Maintained my relationship, which is the most important thing in my life~ Saved up £5k, which won't get me very far but is still a hell of a lot of money considering my very limited income (I work part-time, and the bulk of my money goes towards living expenses and therapy) and that I had around £1k when the year started. Knocked 65 games off my backlog! I had a goal of 50, so beating that is nice. Managed to at least maintain my current physical health, which is better than declining again. That's about it, I think. I don't have too much of a sense of where my mental health is but others have said they've noticed a change in me, and 2018 doesn't stand out to me as a bad year the way 2016 does. I feel it's been a "settling down" year for me, where I've more firmly established and grown comfortable with the changes I made towards the end of 2017.
whew boy! I joined LV (And about to do my 1 year anniversary in January) Started a Youtube channel just a couple days ago which is beyond my comfort zone Completed the second season shift of my job got more control over my tremors I somehow became a MOTM (Which I'm still baffled by) I managed to learn a bit more on my PTSD and will hopefully be able to take a couple of steps to recover from it next year I became a Mod for a Pokémon related discord server I think that there are a couple others that I have forgotten about but these are the mains ones that I've thought about.
