Day 9 - Saddest game scene.
The ending of PM Explorers of Sky, and Grovyle's sacrifice. Those two scenes always make me cry, even if I'm just watching a Youtube walkthrough, haha. Ugh. </3

Runner up is no-one has to die when Christina goes to search for her mother rather than be with Steve. ;c

Hmm, I'd have to tie between two scenes.

Both these death scenes, while something you are certainly expecting, are quite tearjerking. During Cia's final battle, you watch her push herself way too far as a result of her despair, and Lana is constantly trying to save Cia. Both of them get more desperate, Lana trying to save Cia and Cia trying to exact her revenge against Link. When she is finally defeated though, you see such a sad moment between Lana and Cia before Cia actually dies.
Bravely Default has its fair share of bosses you don't quite want to kill, but I think that Einheria takes the top spot. While Olivia's death is also quite sad, Agnes' performance... well... my ears hurt more than my feels. Einheria though, she didn't want to fight, and neither did Edea. They were childhood friends, but as a result of their opposing sides and their honour, they are forced to fight. When she is defeated, you feel so bad for Edea.

Midna's goodbye in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. You two have a tearful goodbye when it teases you the idea that you may see one another again through the mirror. However, the mirror is broken? NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

FFVII - Sephiroth kills Aerith. I don;t think there is anything else to be said. Warning, the video is not for the faint of heart.​

 

Day 10 - Best gameplay.

Jak II is and probably always will be the game that I enjoy playing the most. I love the plot and the characters so much, and it's really fun, even with all the challenging parts. Plus there are no loading screens!

Telltale games. The walking dead season 1 ending. Deciding what to do with Lee was the one soul crushing moment ever... You either shoot him or leave him to turn into a walker... I cried like 1 hour. Man that shit was rough...

Red alert 2 always felt really smooth; the controls were simple, bugs and glitches were uncommon and even the installation setup had a cool GUI rather than a boring wizard setup.exe

Oh god...no idea. But I do know that Pokémon pretty much takes the cake when it comes to awesome soundtracks.

Gotta be the ones from Mystery Dungeon. I crai evry tiem. :'(

Day 10 - Best gameplay.
Oh lord. Probably Rune Factory 4 or maybe Pokémon OR/AS for me. Then again Heartgold was fantastic too...aah, choices.

Once again, this is a tie, as I believe both of these games have quite amazingly crafted gameplay.


The World Ends With You had an extremely innovative idea to gameplay. During battle segments you controlled two characters at once, with one character (Neku) on the bottom with the stylus and one character on the top screen with the d-pad. It was an amazing idea that was difficult to master, but once you got the rhythm going, you could destroy anything in your path. Also, it had an interesting twist on RPG elements. Levelling up only increases your health. To increase other stats you had to eat food. And you could actually lower your level to have more chance of rare drops from enemies.
Fantasy Life is amazing because it makes everything simple while still allowing the game to be enjoyable. Combat requires you to only press a combination of a or x and holding one of the two down. But that doesn't make the combat tiring one bit. It seems like a button mash when collecting materials, but there are all sorts of little details that can help or hinder your progress. And the crafting system... Screw DQIX's crafting, this one is amazing. You actually have to do the crafting yourself, and if you craft the item well you get a better item. Plus, like Skyrim (but with better controls) doing things, including dashing, levels up those skills so you can do them longer and with better gear.

Probably ORAS tbh. The plot was great, there's a decent amount of things to do, mechanics are always fun, they're just great games.

Pokémon HGSS.
In all honesty, HGSS brought so much to the plate with all the nostalgia from previous games and the love of Pokémon following behind ya.

I'd say Chronotrigger. It felt so nice to play and the system had little flaws, if any. At least, from what I could tell. Stunning game considering it's time.​

 

Day 11 - Gaming system of choice.

Gonna have to go with the XBox 360, because I like how the controllers feel and it probably has the most amount of games I enjoy playing. which is probably just the Batman Arkham games and mutiplayer COD Zombies

The DS lite. The DS not only had the capabilities of playing ds games, but also gameboy games. It also had pretty decent features like pictochat which was a fun little way to connect and share messages. It was a grand time.
