What are your thoughts on 3D printers? What do you like about them? What do you dislike about them? Do you want to buy one? Have you ever used one before, and what did you print on it? Where can you see them being applied the best? What are some cool things you've seen printed? And finally, how can we improve this technology further?

I would love a 3D printer, but I lack many of the key resources. I think they'd be cool/useful for crafting your own game pieces for board games or Tabletop games if your into that. with a little painting talent it might even be possible to print a custom amiibo character to replace the default ones. I know, weird but it's something I kind of fantasize about. I've never actually used one, but I've seen them, and have added them to my "tech that proves magic is real" list along with the sewing machine and TV

I'd love to have a 3d printer, the kind of stuff that can be made with them is truly mind-blowing sometimes. I don't have one and I've never used one, but I've seen them in videos and such. The precision in which they work with is unreal, and the products are seemingly better than what human hands could make with the same materials. 3d printers, I think, are one of the stepping stones to the next line of technology. However, I have a glaring problem with the 3d printer. There are people that are making bullets with them, I kid you not, and they work. All marvelous things seem to have a dark side, and this is unfortunate.

As part of my robotics team, I've dabbled in CAD and 3d printing(nothing serious), and it's pretty interesting to me. The functions are endless, with the only limit being your imagination, actually. It's amazing, really.

Some of the coolest things were on other robots, like this amazing claw or these really innovative wheel-things.
There's also bio-3d printing, which is a really interesting application of the process, where you can actually print cells and make organs

I love 3d printers! Imagine how far they can go with this, they're even working on printing organs and stuff which I think would be really helpful since many die in wait of organs.

I think this is very useful and if they were reduced in price i'd get one maybe >o<

I kind of want one, and I know Microsoft really wants me to have one. Even though it's a new technology that's not incredibly widespread, they've got so much built-in support for it in Windows 10 (and maybe 8).

I don't have many uses for one, but it would be nice to make a some nerdy decorative things: gym badge replicas to which to attach pins for wherever gym badges can be put, or something similar for superhero icons. As for serious uses though, I really don't have much need for it, so I'm not going to shell out the cash.
