Whilst not so common that it would attract a storm of attention from the wider gaming community, there are in fact a number of 3DS titles that have been given updated Nintendo Switch releases, including (but not limited to) Yokai Watch, Rune Factory 4, The Alliance Alive, and Monster Hunter Generations. Are there any 3DS titles that you would like to see being given the Nintendo Switch treatment? How do you imagine the games being adapted so that they function on a single screen?
I think Kid Icarus Uprising would benefit from the graphics upgrade, but also a boost in popularity. The game seems to have been severely underprinted for the 3ds, and isn't as popular as some of the other great 3ds games. The controls turned some people off as well, so an improvement there may be beneficial as well, considering how much less useful the touch screen on the Switch is. Because Sakurai is still working on Smash Bros., we know the next game in the series, if it happens, is no more than in the extremely early development stages. Maybe they could also release Bravely Default and Bravely Second together as one little package. Albeit generic in many ways, these games are a fun time for a lot of JRPG fans.
A sequel or port of Code Name STEAM. It’s a great tactical RPG game on the 3DS that sold poorly. The comic book artstyle and corny story really made this game stand out from Intelligent System’s other works. Ever Oasis would be great to see on the Switch as well. Like with Code Name STEAM, it’s an IP that’s exclusive to the 3DS. The Zelda style combat and town building mechanic would be fun to see fleshed out some more.
I think they should bring a PMD game to the Switch. I don’t care if it’s Super Mystery Dungeon or a new one, but I’d love to see it happen.
