    #596 Galvantula

    Item: Petaya Berry
    Nature: Timid
    Ability: Compound Eyes
    EVs: 4 HP, 252 SpA, 252 Spe
    -Substitute
    -Agility
    -Thunder
    -Hidden Power Ice

While the inspiration for this set came from Empoleon the, it should work in roughly the same way. Setting up with agility and sub to reach that petaya berry boost, allowing for a sweep. On paper it seems like it would work. Though be careful, priority users such as Entei, Hitmonlee, Kabutops, and others. Sucker punch and extreme speed are this sets worse fear. However once these users are gone, and an opportunity presents itself it's a clean victory.

It's all about a team composition, that's how most battles are won. If Galvantula is weak to fire and rock pick a Pokémon that resist fire and rock. Quagsire is a perfect Pokémon to couple with Galvantula, covering it's weaknesses while only having that x4 weakness to grass. Along with unaware and recover it can take hits for days until the time is ready for Galvantula to sweep.

Set set has the type coverage of bolt/beam though its ice attack is a bit weaker and it's electric attack is much stronger it'll be pulled off the same. Special walls such as Cryogonal, Slowking, and Dusknoir are a bit of a problem. Most likely being able to take more than one hit at +1 special attack. Try to take these out if at all possible before setting up for a sweep.

In the end this set is used to puncture holes into teams to allow for an easy win. Just work your way around walls and priority and it'll do just fine.

I should try this for my rain team since i have to retrain one anyways, but instead of hidden power like that which would take forever to get i would do bug buzz.
