    Hey guys,

    I'm new to this forum and in this context, I should be primarily introducing myself as a competitive battler. I used to be a pretty successful player in a Pokémon MMO community (though if anyone recognizes me here, I'll be shocked!). I've written a couple different types of guides concerning competitive battling, so it goes without saying that I like to write about that sort of stuff. I play Pokémon Showdown for fun, but I've set some goals before and for a while I stayed in the top 25 for X/Y RU, as well as top 60 in X/Y OU! So I can do not too badly when I put my mind to it (good to know for myself haha). I'd maybe like to get into smogon tournies, but I guess I never really got around to involving myself in that community for some reason. All slight immodesty aside, I really enjoy competitive Pokémon and I'd be glad to chat with anyone about it or give tips (I'm not amazing, but I think I have a few good things to say to someone who's starting out/just at an intermediate level). I don't play WiFi, but I'm trying to get into it as well, so maybe I will put some time into getting comps to play with.

    As the title suggests, I also enjoy playing Smash Bros -- I've been spending some time trying to get better at Smash 4. Other than that, I am a self-proclaimed jazz geek/music enthusiast, RPG gamer and biology major. Hope to get to know some of you guys and maybe get a couple battles in!     Hi there Barrage! Great to meet you, welcome to the forum. :') It's great to have such knowledgeable battlers here, we actually have many people who come hoping to discuss and participate in battles so surely enough plenty will appreciate your assistance/guidance.

    But bah, Smash Bros is so popular yet.. here I am never having really played it. Just so bad at those sorts of games, they're too fast-paced and competitive to me, wah.
