    Heya guys!

A friend of mine and I have been working on a new concept for a Nuzlocke challenge. We're both really into Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney these days, so we thought it might be fun to make a Nuzlocke-based challenge. We quickly settled on the name WrightLocke because it sounds awesome ^^

Q: Aaaand... What's so different about it?

Well, my friend and I have come up with some new rules. The rulebook is not complete though (there's still room for improvement), so I'll just post what I've come up with so far.

    1) You may only catch the first Pokémon you encounter on a new Route (you can decide for yourself if you wanna use the Dupes Clause, the Shiny Clause and/or the Gifts Clause)
    2) Fainted Pokémon may never be used again after battles. They have to be boxed permanently or be released.
    3) Trading is only allowed to evolve Pokémon (this rule is adjustable)

Okay, so much for the "official" rules. Now for the (edited) rules we came up with:

    4) You MUST name Pokémon after characters from the Ace Attorney series. This can be any character from any official game. You cannot give the same nickname twice.
    5) In Double Battles, Triple Battles and Rotation Battles, the used Pokémon must appear as a pair/trio in the Ace Attorney games, or all of them must be introduced in the same game.
    6) You're only allowed to use items found on the ground! After all, when you gather evidence, you don't go to a store to buy it. Pokéballs are an exception, since you need those to catch new Pokémon.
    7) In a pinch, you're allowed to turn your thinking around (by this, I mean: when three or more of your Pokémon are dead, you are allowed to revive as many of them until you have a squad of four living Pokémon. That's why the "a dead Pokémon is dead forever" rule has been changed into "after a fight ends, a fainted Pokémon is a fainted Pokémon forever")
    8) Since you're pretty much done for after making five mistakes during a trial, I decided to turn this into a rule. You can use up to four items in a battle. This includes ALL items, except Pokéballs. Every used item is seen as a "penalty" for presenting the wrong evidence.
    9) Trials last three days. Consider every Gym a trial. There's a maximum allowed time limit of 72 hours in between new Gym badges. This also applies for the time limit between the 8th Gym and the League.

That's pretty much all we have now. If you're not satisfied with these rules, you could always add new ones or decide to not use some.
Well? What do you guys think? Do you have any suggestions? I would love to hear them ^^

This actually seems really cool, and it adds an element of choice. You have a Pokémon you don't want to lose, you are down 4, your opponents last Pokémon is barely holding on, your current Pokémon is equally low, and you already used 3 items. Do you risk sacrificing your current to save That other, or do you heal your current before finishing off your opponent?

Yikes. I have never had proper time to try a Nuzlocke run, but I know it's difficult. And this looks truly hardcore. The rules seem consistent, and the Wright theme looks amusing. Kudos to anyone who attempts such a challenge, let alone succeeds it.
