A New Mystery Dungeon!?

I'm pretty excited for this! I'd have to see more than just the logo before I can really get hyped for it, but it's definitely something bound to be amazing I can't wait to see more.

 

I really hope that it is more interesting then gates to infinity. I liked some mechanics of G2I but i felt the story was weak, and the lack of starters was saddening. Also I was one of the 7 people that missed the test at the beginning. It was fun to see what your "Inner"Pokémon was

 

At least Pokémon Mystery Dungeon gets a new game, even though the 'Super' moniker caught me off guard because of how it's titled until today. I just hope it has a nice story and more Pokémon in it.

 

I am super hyped for this! PMD is my top favourite spinoff of all time and I'm really glad they're making a new one. The only thing that's quashing my hype is my lack of a 3DS...but I'm prepared to wait for when I do own one so I can finally play this!

 

I hope it feels more like the first two and less Gates to Infinity. The lack of starters (And Pokémon in general) and the plot were huge letdowns for me.

 

I'm looking forward to this new PMD game. It's been a while since we've last had one and I hope that this one is better then the last game we had. Honestly I wasn't a huge fan of it but that's for a different topic. Can't wait to see more information regarding to the game series. I'm guessing that they'll be adding Kalos Pokémon to it so we might be able to be one of the Kalos starter Pokémon? That would be interesting. I'm kinda curious as to what the plot is going to be based on and what type of guilds are going to be in it.

 

While I loved the first two installments in the series I wasn't a huge fan of Gates To Infinity at all. I just hope they have a wider selection of starters and bring back the personality test element! I'm sure the story will be good, though.

 

If it's like Gates to Infinity, I will go kill whoever is making it -_-

I think the title has a really awkward feel to it; but it sounds like fun nonetheless~ c:

I really hope the test at the beginning comes back. It felt more realistic having a Pokémon chosen for you based on your choices, instead of choosing what you want to be.

 

Oooh they announced a new PMD?? MY god yes this is very good. I never got to play Gates to Infinity, but apparently it wasn't all that great?? So I dunno. I'd still like to try that. But regardless a new PMD is excellent news indeed.

 

Sky was absolutely amazing. Now take Sky, whirl it around in a blender with some dirt, eat it, then shit it out and you have Gates to Infinity.

 

Not excited, nor will I invest my time and money into a PMD game, because they've never appealed to me. I was expecting the X and Y sequels, but I suppose not everything can go my way. That said, I hope Nintendo and/or Game Freak gets more creative with their spinoffs someday. A little variety never hurts. All we get is Puzzle games, PMD, and Rumble... Why no more Snap games? Why no more Stadium or Colosseum-like games? Guess we'll never know the definite answer.

 

Oh my god, I can't wait for more details on this. I loved Red&Blue rescue team, and I loved Explorers twice as much. The games were so well crafted and were a great roguelike experience without the full roguelike permadeath. I'm hoping for another game like those two, and I really hope it is a full game.

What I hope they don't do is a watered down version of Gates to Infinity that has the hearts mechanic of Shuffle or Rumble World. Rumble was a good WiiWare download which died in its third installment, and if you think about it, GoI was the third installment of Mystery Dungeon. I'm afraid they are going to do something like this instead of a fully fledged Dungeon game.

 

Hmm... Not too fond of the title but I'm curious as to what the main plot is all about. I surely hope the personality test makes a comeback because that's one of the more interesting parts of the PMD series for me.

I've read somewhere that you can also recruit Legendary/Mythical Pokémon this time, unlike in Gates to Infinity where they're just bosses.

 

I'm just going to make the bet now: Ten bucks says it's another Freemium game like Pokémon Shuffle and Pokémon Rumble World.

 

The "Super" in the name makes me believe it...

 

@[member="Fizzysoda"] I agree, not too fond of the title either, but I have high hopes for it to be like the old Explorers of Time and Darkness games. Gates to Infinity had a strong plot I've heard but honestly disappointed me. It won't be bad if its a freemium game but I don't think I'd be satisfied with it, haha. I hope this one will be great!
