A new type is here

This type is a good addition to the Pokémon game. It balances out the almost perfect typing system and completes it making it perfect. Dragon was still a little OP in my opinion and im glad this type is here to balance it all out.

 

Finally another type to bring Dragons down another notch. Before, the only types Super-effective against them were other Dragon-types and Ice-types.

 

I'm glad it's fairy I think it's kind of unique. It's better than like something obvious xD

 

Yep. My day has been made with the announcement of this new type. I wanted it so bad... xD

yasssss!!!! Fairy type! Fairy type when i saw this i was like OMG! OMG! OMMG!

 

I don't like the name, but I like its effect on the strategies ^^

 

I love the idea of Fairy type. Now I can't wait to see what kinds of Pokémon designs they'll come up with to fill it out.

 

I'm not a fan of most of the Dragon Pokémon (I do like some, mind you) so just having another way to knock their socks off is a grand idea to me.

 

A bit of balance is excellent, but changing up the old Pokémon is unfair...I REALLY hope they don't change Pikachu, but he is in the Fairy egg group so you never know...

 

Pikachu is pretty much the mascot for the entire series though. It's so widely-known as electric mouse that I doubt they'll change it.

 

I just love the image of tiny Pokémon beating the crap out of the large bulky dragons! This type is a win for me! That little comic up there really sums up all that I feel about this type. Salamence versus Azurill anyone? XD

 

Considering breloom is in the fairy egg group... I don't think that will be the biggest factor

 

At first I wasn't so sure about Fairy, but it's grown on me a bit, and at least it's not that stupid "Light" type people were going on and on about for so long. I heard it will be weak to Poison, and maybe Steel. If not Steel, I definitely hope it's weak to Poison; I'll be disappointed with it if it's not. Poison needs a new strength in battle, Steel could use some too, and without a balanced set of weaknesses it's basically just "lol we nerfed dragon now".

I do think that Steel would make sense as a weakness though. In mythology Fairies weren't the silly little girl things that many people think of them as now. What they were are nature spirits. Steel is a man-made alloy created when two metals are merged together in an unnatural form, just to make the metals stronger and more durable. The way that would make sense is that fairies were nature spirits, and steel is one of the big things that proves that nature can be manipulated to one's personal needs.

 

With the addition of Fairy type... what will happen to Hidden Power? I guess its calculations and such that determine what type it is will be redone?
