    How would the events of each Pokémon game fit into a timeline? Does each game play at the same time, or does it happen after the previous games? Or is it all overthinking, and shouldn't there be a timeline at all?

    Some are in order, like Johto's story takes place three years after Kanto's, and then there's BW/BW2.

    But with the different versions and stuff, unless they're smushed into a single game like RS was to Emerald, then it's hard to place them on a timeline.

    There actually is an official timeline. Not many know about it because it was only posted by one of the developers on their Twitter but it does exist.

    I think the timeline is interesting, but sometimes the games have plot holes of somesort. I like how it's put together though.
