Where do you think you be if Pokémon never existed? How would your life be affected?

For me, this is actually a biggie. If I never would have gotten Pokémon silver on my birthday some fourteen years ago, I never would have become as devoted to learning speed reading. If I never would have learned that I am great at speed reading, I never would have come to love books as much as I do now. If I never would have learned to love books, I wouldn't have made it so far in my classes at school or ever have gone onto the internet to look for more stories to read. I would, in fact, have become a jock instead of a nerd.

As surprising as that may be to some, it is in fact true. I was born with a bunch of genetic problems (suddenly, Mewtwo being my favorite Pokémon makes sense to everyone) and among these problems was ridiculously high testosterone. I was literally born ready to become a muscly sports champion. I also really like soccer, so it isn't too far of a stretch to see that I could have chosen to follow the path of physical ability over mental strength.

Pokémon literally changed my life by getting me interested in learning how to read. From that one small change, a far greater change occurred. I couldn't be happier with it.

I would literally cry! ;-; I've known Pokémon for 17 years. Without it, I would never be able to handle anything else Dx

Right now my life would be in an incredibly different path. I'd probably be way dumber and be in to totally different things. I'd still like some of the same stuff but I would be an incredibly different person.

Hmmm... I wouldn't have a 3ds for sure. That being said, I have only played Pokémon for about 1 1/2 years, so it hasn't played to biggest role in my life in general. I really love Pokémon, but I would have survived without it since I already did for like 14 years.

Without Pokémon, Lake Valor wouldn't exsist and my life would be so much more boring without Lake Valor. So yeah without Pokémon my life would've been boring xD

Pokémon didn't come out until I was already interested in gaming and anime anyway, so I'm not sure how much it would have changed things for me. Though, without Pokémon, I would have one thing less to connect with other people, and with so common interests already, I'm sure I would have significantly less friends. Perhaps without Pokémon, I wouldn't be as interested in games as I am- without one of the games coming out every few years, I might not have bothered to keep up with the gaming scene at all. So, while I don't know what would be different, I'm glad I don't live in a world where I'd have to find out.

My life would've probably been really shitty, to be honest. It's really difficult for me to imagine how my life would've been without Pokémon, but what I do know is that Pokémon has been my major activity for about two years now, so without it, I probably would've been living the most boring and pathetic life possible :/ THANK GOD FOR POKÉMON

I went for a long time without Pokémon, so I know how it feels. However, my current life would definitely be different and I wouldn't be a part of Lake Valor.

I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't experienced Pokémon in 2002. I think my life would be very different as the game shaped my childhood in the sense of playing games. I think I would not have been interested in games or anything that resembles Pokémon.

I would probably have had a very sad, boring childhood as I played Pokémon to escape boredom during travelling and lulls in my life...

Things would be very different. I'm not sure if I'd ever have found another game series to pour so much time into nor would these forums even exist so it's almost a little sad to think about; would end up with fewer friends and probably living a boring life with no cute Pokémon merch on my table. It was thanks to this franchise that I got more into gaming and anime (plus learned English) so from there on everything was just one big domino effect.

    Thank you Pokémon. <3

Well, if Pokémon had never existed I would probably not have been as good at English as i am now since Pokémon was the first game I used to teach myself English with, combined with the school material. but the main thing I learned English from is video games namely Pokémon since it was the first game where I really paid attention to the text.

To be honest, my life would be pretty different. Pokémon led me into a big internet community, which helped me find my likes/dislikes about a lot of things. I'd be left without all of my current hobbies (such as anime, GFX, some video games). I'd certainly have less friends (as I've made so many online), and more friends is always better =w=

I would probably have a really different relationship with my brother. He's the one who gave me my first Pokémon game (his old copy of Emerald) for my birthday eight or so years ago and taught me how to play. We've both changed a lot since then, and I don't see him nearly as often anymore--he just recently finished college and moved out--but one thing we've always had in common was Pokémon.

    sorry to get sappy hahaha

If I lived in a world without Pokémon... I would probably be a stick in the mud.
Pokémon brings a fun element to my life that I don't have with programming, academics, or relationships. It gave me the notion that I should try programming in the first place, so it actually helped shape who I want to become in the future. Pretty heavy, if I say so myself.

I would be working at pencil factory, sharpening pencils with a hand sharpener that breaks the tips of 85% of them
Then I'll be forced to play Guitar Hero 3's Dragonforce - Through the Fire and the Flames on expert during breaks over and over again

And there would probably be more sourpusses in the world shoveling coal made out of ancient horse crap to fuel machines that feed them nothing but taro pudding and drinks that have nothing but 13 egg yolks in each glass

Also, if Pokémon were to stop and go out of style, riots will happen and the world would basically burn in nuclear fire

Long story short, life would be absolutely terrible without Pokémon, no doubt |P

My life without Pokémon would be less fun. I would never have been interested in video games, never have met any of the people here, probably would just be on youtube and shop everyday.
Pokémon has such a huge impact on my life, I probably wouldn't be the same person you know today.

It would be different, that's for sure. I wouldn't have so many great friends, it would be one less thing I could connect with people with, I probably wouldn't even have a 3DS honestly. So I'm glad Pokémon does exist, haha.
