Adblock

I use it because most of the ads that come up when I'm not using adblock are really creepy/annoying. Plus, seeing the same freaking ad on Youtube, especially ones that annoy me and I can't skip, that really frustrates me.

 

I do use it, as most ads are totally disruptive or exceedingly annoying, some even end up ruining my experience on the site. I do know that many websites gain the bulk of their revenue through ads though, so sometimes I feel bad about it. :/

 

I also use Adblock. I have it disabled on some sites that run off of ad revenue, but mostly I just block all ads. I'm not going to buy their product anyways, and the ads are just annoying, distracting, and space wasting. :/

 

I finally got fed up with seeing the League of Angels ads apparently everywhere I went, so I downloaded it. Haven't looked back since.

 

Adblock is cool. I have adblock installed and it has been very useful to me. I haven't seen ads around for a very, very long time and I prefer to keep it that way.

 

I use AdBlock and AdBlock Plus on Chrome. They're lifesavers as ads tend to be really intrusive and detrimental to my browsing experience. If a site has ads that aren't big/in my face and bring up potentially whitelisting them to help revenue I would do so, but again, it isn't often. It's just very uncomfortable for me in general to see advertisements and generally makes me less inclined to go on a website at all.

 

I don't use it anymore. I did use it on my laptop, but I haven't downloaded it on my computer. I've seen a video of a guy who perfectly explained about the negative effects of Adblock, but that isn't even the reason why I don't have it. I just don't feel like the advertisements are so annoying that I should download something to disable them. Sure, sometimes you have to wait a couple of seconds, but I can live with that. If it really becomes annoying for me, I'll probably download it anyway.

 

I have AdBlock on Chrome and Safari (and I think Firefox; can't remember). On Safari it didn't always work with video ads, but it got rid of all other ads (save for ones on sites that force you to disable it in order to access their content), so I like it a lot~

 

I personally do use AdBlock Plus. I absolutely hate advertisements. They take up too much space, they're a distraction, and it seems like I always end up clicking them on accident.

 

I'm kind of shocked that not many people I know IRL use this extension more often. I've been using Adblock for the better part of four years now and honestly it's one of the best browser add-ons I've ever downloaded. Ads drive me up the wall when it gets to a stage that websites are 70% banner adds, 30% actually content. So, yeah, Adblock is definitely a keeper for me. Reminds me that I should slip a donation the Adblock creator's way, as thanks for years of hassle-free browsing.

 

It always shocks me SO much when people don't have this. It's such a useful program and honestly I really need it otherwise a lot of stuff would be so annoying. Weird how adblock only blew up in like 2012 or something though.

 

I have AdBlock+. It blocks MOST adds, but on Youtube it only makes adds UNSKIPPABLE! So I deactivate when surfing YTPs.

 

I've honestly almost always known about AdBlock but didn't install it until recently, idk why. But it has saved me so many times from those annoying YT ads, and that is the main reason as to why I installed it.
I guess I didn't install it earlier cuz I sometimes enjoyed the YT video ads cuz they made me laugh every here and there.

 

I think it's useful but I don't use it personally. I know for a fact that many sites earn their money from the ads, which is why I don't want to use it. I would feel bad if a site offers free services to me in exchange for a few seconds of pop-ups then I would go Adblock them. Meh.
