Adding complexity to moves and abilities

    I've been thinking about how stats, contest conditions and such could add another layer of complexity to moves and abilities. Similar to how speed determines your chances of escaping a battle, what if speed determined the accuracy of priority moves? Toughness determined the chances of the Intimidate ability activating? What if the cuteness or beauty of a Pokémon played a part in the accuracy of attract and the chances of cute charm activating?
    What do you guys think about something like this? Do you have any examples of how certain moves or abilities would be impacted?

    They would likely be broken like Gen I's speed-crit ratio mechanic. I don't find these complexities at all necessary.

    God...I hate to say it but this would be pretty awful. I'd hate to memorize all this stuff.

    I think that would be so awful. I think one of Pokémon's charms is the fact that it is somewhat simple. There's not all that much to figure out! Sure, it might be nice, but really would end up being a burden.

    I don't even know much about normal Pokémon stats and the like... I didn't even know that Speed could affect chance of escaping a battle!

    But... I don't know if even more things to remember would be really necessary. :/
