What are your age preferences when dating?

I prefer a guy be no more than two years younger or four-five years older. Somewhere around my age is pretty ideal but a larger gap generally becomes less noticeable as you get older. I'd feel odd dating a 27 year old if I were 20 but at 35/42 it's not as much of a big deal so my thoughts might end up changing in the future. How about you?

At least a year or two older, and a year younger. I don't know why, but I just like it like that lol.

I prefer that my counterpart does not exist.

The perks of being an aromantic; I don't have to worry about this kind of stuff XD

(But if I were to be in a relationship, I think I'd rather be the older one, for no reason that I can think of, at 1 to 2 years older.)

At least my age or 1-3 years older than I am. I feel uncomfortable if it's anything less or more than that.

I wouldn't really mind, but large age gaps can be really inconvenient in relationships, or just makes it harder to relate to each other, so it's not ideal. At my current age (20) I would probably only feel comfortable with someone between 18 and maybe 25.

    I prefer a relationship first :)... XD

Anyway for whatever reason I can deal with people that are younger or older than me better than with people of my own age. But I guess anywhere between 2 years younger and 3 years older would be fine for me.

    My words exactly.

Anyway, an age gap always looks much smaller as you get older, but as you're young, it can seem like a huge gap. But I feel like anything about two or three years younger/older should be fine. Of course, that doesn't mean that it can't be otherwise; I've seen married couples with an age difference of 11 years, and nobody really minded it.

Since i'm a transfer student into college and am 23 1/2, I wouldn't mind too much of an age difference, but i'd prefer a girl be around maybe three years younger at most. That's what I feel would be least inappropriate.

I'd want a guy to be my age or older, by about 1-3, maybe four years. Five is stretching it, but if I really like the guy, I wouldn't say no because of a number. Granted, that's when I'm out of my teens. Right now, even though I'm not really concerned with finding a boyfriend, I'd say a year older, two is a stretch.

Two years younger or older at max, preferably within one year, though.
