This is my first Pokémon fanfiction and I posted it first on Deviant Art. I really hope that there aren't too many differences in my story than in Pokémon. I tried to kind of stay with the whole professor thing and meeting new people. So anyways please enjoy my story. Comments would be much appreiciated.

    Chapter 1

Since Alice was a toddler she was always exposed to the world of Pokémon. Her dad was a professor in a mountain city. Mainly she would stay at home, playing with her older brothers, but Alice always had a passion for something more.
Alice was fifteen when she got her first Pokémon, a lot later than the normal kids but that didn't discourage Alice. Her dad let her pick which Pokémon she wanted, and all the Pokémon her dad showed her were cute but Alice wasn't sure what she wanted.
"I'm not sure which one I want yet dad." Alice spoke sighing lightly as her dad returned a Pidgey to its Pokéball. Her dad set the Pokéball on the lab table. He walked back to a pouting Alice and brushed her brown hair away from her face.
"Now Alice don't get too down about it, you'll find one you really like. Trust me." He spoke, and he was about to tell her something more when the lab monitor came to life. Professor Elm appeared on the screen with a slight frown of worry upon the man's face.
"Professor Crane, it's an emergency." He spoke and Alice's dad rose from his crouch next to her to go to the monitor. "A Pokémon has seriously been hurt and we need your help."
"Did you try the Pokecenter near here?" Alice's dad questioned. Professor Elm's face darkened.
"They tried to treat it but it's not cooperating. I tried examining it but it wouldn't cooperate with me either. I wanted to try you before I gave up on this Pokémon." The professor replied hastily. A rolling came from the transport tube and a small Pokéball slid out and into the wire basket. Alice retrieved it for her dad and sat back down out of the way.
"I'll call you with an update Professor." Alice's dad muttered before flicking off the monitor.
"Dad how bad is the Pokémon hurt if they are sending it to you?" Alice questioned and her dad released the small Pokémon from its ball and onto the table.
"It defiantly has to be pretty bad. I think that someone either mistreated it or tried abandoning it. The Pokémon seems to be in pretty bad shape, by what I hear. Alice you might want to stand back in case the Pokémon tries to attack." He spoke and Alice went to a desk in the corner of the room and sat down to watch.
Professor Crane released the Pokémon from its ball and a purple and yellow cat came from the Pokéball. Professor Crane tried to study it but then he got slashed in the arm, ripping his lab coat and tearing skin. The cat jumped from the table and strode up to the gawking Alice. It sat down on its haunches and stared eerily up ate her.
Alice slowly pulled out her cerulean Pokédex from her pocket, in her jacket, and held it in front of the cat.
"Liepard, a dark type Pokémon, evolves from Purrlion, another dark type Pokémon." The annoying Pokédex speaker said. The liepard moved closer to Alice and she stood her ground. The professor came up behind the Pokémon and liepard leapt up onto Alice's lap.
"Alice put her down she could hurt you." Her father said, his body still crouched down on the ground.
"Dad I think she likes me, and I have a question."
"Go on." Her father said pulling himself into a sitting position.
"Why is she so fat around her tummy area?" Alice questioned, her head slightly tilted.
"Wait what?" Her dad asked almost falling over in shock. "That's why she didn't like everyone touching her. She's pregnant."
"Wow. I really like her, can we keep her please?" She said lightly petting the liepard's head.
"I guess we'll have too. If you like her so much maybe then you can keep one of her babies?" He spoke and tried to pet her and she hissed. Alice petted her head more and then carefully stood, the liepard in her arms, and placed her back on the table.
"Now listen here missy, you need to cooperate with dad so he can check you out and make sure you're ok." Alice spoke to the liepard and it stared back. Lightly she tapped it on the nose and stepped away from the table.
"Alice why don't you go start dinner and I'll call if I need you." Her father spoke getting some equipment out and Alice nodded. She was so excited she could finally have her Pokémon, and have it as cute as this one.
Alice marched to the kitchen to get dinner ready. Her brothers came in from outside when she entered the kitchen. They looked almost excited to hear what Pokémon she had picked. She washed her hands and turned around and bother her brothers were staring her down.
"What?" She asked exasperated. Her eldest brother, Cash, smirked and flipped his hair away from his face.
"You know what." He spoke back and then her other brother, Clay, spoke.
"Which one did you pick?" He questioned. Alice huffed blowing her bangs off her face.
"It's a long story. Here it goes. Professor Elm asked dad to look at this Pokémon and when dad tried it attacked him. It came up to me and then jumps on my lap. It was a pregnant liepard and dad said we can keep it and that I could have one of the babies. Basically I picked purloin." Alice spoke quickly setting a pot on to boil.
"Wow. That's amazing." Both her brothers spoke amazed. Their dad walked in and the liepard followed slowly behind.
"Lea, here girl." Alice called and the liepard came to her sitting at her feet. Her brothers gave her a look. "What I have to name her if we are keeping her."
"That's not it. You're starting out with a dark type, which isn't a starter might I add, and you expect it to be the best one ever. You should switch to Shinx." Cash whined, and his sister death-glared him.
"No you should choose Growlithe." Clay piped in, and her dad gave a glare to him.
"Guys, Alice doesn't want a Pokémon that you guys have. She wants her own, one that's unique to her. So if you guys have anything to say about it write it down and burn it." Her dad spoke and added a hint of sarcasm; the burn it with fire meant that in their house don't say anything at all.
When Alice went to bed Lea was there and when she got up she was still there, but sometimes in different spots. It stayed like that until the day the babies came. The day Alice finally became, technically, a trainer. (Although she has to wait a little more so the babies can mature.)
