We just had a little bit discussion going on over at the Lunch Table about this. Do you have any allergies? If so, what are they? Do they really affect you at all?

Let us know in this thread.

P.S. I'm allergic to cats and I also have seasonal allergies.

I hate dust. My eyes get watery and I sneeze non-stop when I am nearby dust. I work in a store where there's always dust, so it's kinda bad for me, but I'm always away from it...which is okay.

Allergies tend to run in the family here.

Dust and cats are what I'm allergic to, it sucks because my friend has a cute kitten and when I visit I get a sneeze attack.

I'm not allergic to anything I that I know of. My parents tell me it's because my dad used to feed me pretty much anything so I became pretty resistant to different foods, so I can eat things without problems.

I know I have allergies, especially during the spring and summer where I just sneeze nonstop. But I'm not sure to what and to be honest I'm kinda too lazy to get a test because they aren't that severe.

I know I'm allergic to penicillin though.

I have the occasional seasonal allergy, but I'm lucky and that's it.

I'm allergic to some dogs. I can sleep next to my dog with no problem, but when I was petting my friend's dog I sneezed like crazy. Dust is also a problem, but usually in large amounts.

As a kid, I was moderately allergic to pollen. Over the years, this allergy has faded. Because there's so much of it in my area, I think my body just developed an immunity over time.

Oh gosh I have such a long list...

Dust and kapok (pillow material) - leads to me sneezing like crazy and difficulties breathing (for the pillow material, not the dust)

Cats - to cats I'm unfamiliar with leads me to getting the allergies faster - sneezing first then itchy, irritated eyes which makes them red and puffy. I also cannot help myself when it comes to rubbing them.

Squid + Prawn combo - by far the worst allergic reaction I have - it starts with my spit becoming thicker making it harder and harder to swallow which may - more often than not - lead to vomiting and definitely leads to breathing difficulties. (The first time it happened my lips turned bluish and I thought I was going to die. I've also had this allergy when it comes to combinations of other foods. This also leaves me down and out for the count.

Jackfruit - one of the only fruits that I actually like... It causes my lips to swell up.

Combo of bubble tea & subway sandwiches as well as antibiotic augmentin - parts of my body swell up and becomes itchy over all, specifically in the areas with swollen flesh, it lasts a minimum of three days which is undoubtedly the most annoying of all my allergies.

Prawns - in large amounts, I just get red spots under my eyes.

Too much beef or chicken - results in an itchy nose.

    Lamb - stomach issues.

    Yep, I have an allergy.

Call me absolutely bonkers, but I'm allergic to eggs.

Just the smell of them makes me feel nauseous and dizzy.
But I can eat them inside things, like cakes and all that. I just don't eat things like omelets and scrambled eggs and stuff like that.

I have seasonal allergies and am allergic to penicillin and amoxicillin. Guess which one's more of a bother.

Thankfully I was graced enough to have no allergies.

However, I have a terrible case of exercise-induced asthma, so I guess I'm allergic to exercise....

    Seasonal allergies are blegh. And I think I have a mild allergy to canteloupe. It makes my tongue itchy whenever I eat it. ;_;

I genuinely don't understand it, but I seem to have some year-round allergy to pollen. It's ridiculous!

My only actual allergies are Soy and Pineapple, both of which can put me in the hospital if I digest them. I'm sensitive to pretty much everything on this planet, though- from most food, to the weather, to textures and certain clothing. It's hard to find stuff that doesn't bother me, but I've learned to live with it. Thankfully, I am not allergic to cats, because I love cats a lot. I could not live without a cat.

I luckily am not allergic to anything, or at least not for as far as I know. I can only imagine how much it would suck if I were allergic to something I would get in touch with on a daily base :S (Except for annoying people, I'm really allergic to those. I try to avoid them as much as I can)

As far as I'm aware I'm not allergic to anything. You never know though, I might come across something that really doesn't agree with me at all
I'm hoping I don't though, allergies seem to be a real handful to deal with :S
