Amusing/Interesting Pokedex entries

Magikarp

Diamond-"It is said to be the world's weakest Pokémon. No one knows why it has managed to survive."
Pearl-"It is unable to swim against even slow-moving currents. It always splashes about for some reason."
HeartGold-"An underpowered, pathetic Pokémon. It may jump high on rare occasions, but usually not more than seven feet."
Black-"A Magikarp living for many years can leap a mountain using Splash. The move remains useless, though."

i dont know why but imagining a Magikarp hopping over a mountain makes me lol

 

Duskull:
Platinum - It loves the crying of children. It startles bad kids by passing through walls and making them cry.
The crying of children? I mean, IT LOVES the crying of children. How can that even be taken in a non-creepy way? I'd love to see this thing go through parenthood.

And of course, the classic:
Hypno:
FireRed - It carries a pendulum-like device. There once was an incident in which it took away a child it hypnotized.
This one got pretty well-known. In fact, there was a shirt that illustrated it..

 

Wobbuffet:
Black/White - It desperately tries to keep its black tail hidden. It is said to be proof the tail hides a secret.

I don't know if its funny or not but i have always wondered what secret does it hold? I think it looks silly

 

Kabutops LeafGreen-
"Its sleek shape is perfect for swimming. It slashes prey with its claws and drains their fluids."

Drains their fluids. DRAINS THEIR FLUIDS.

Yes. Yes and yes. I love the Magikarp entries. That poor big fish. xD

 

I've always loved Duskull's entry in the Platinum 'dex.

I dunno, just crying children make me laugh.

Posted before or not, here are a few from me

Haunter's Silver entry: "Its tongue is made of gas, if licked, its victim starts shaking constantly until death eventually comes."

Feraligatr's LeafGreen and HeartGold entry: "When it bites with its massive and powerful jaws, it shakes its head and savagely tears its victim up."

Kabutops' Silver entry: "With sharp claws, this ferocious, ancient Pokémon rips apart prey and sucks their body fluids."

Victreebel's Yellow entry: "Lures prey with the sweet aroma of honey. Swallowed whole, the prey is melted in a day, bones and all."

Beautifly's Diamond entry: "It has an aggressive nature. It stabs prey with its long, narrow mouth to drain the prey's fluids."

I found this one pretty eerie, what exactly are the Cacturne waiting for?

"If a traveler is going through a desert in the thick of night, Cacturne will follow in a ragtag group. The Pokémon are biding their time, waiting for the traveler to tire and become incapable of moving."

This one makes a lot more sense but still kinda graphic?

"Using their very hot, flame-covered tongues, they burn through Durant's steel bodies and consume their insides."

This one is kinda gross too, but also pretty amusing.

"Glalie has the ability to freely control ice. For example, it can instantly freeze its foe solid. After immobilizing its foe in ice, this Pokémon enjoys eating it in leisurely fashion."

Spoink bounces around on its tail. The shock of its bouncing makes its heart pump. As a result, this Pokémon cannot afford to stop bouncing - if it stops, its heart will stop.

If your nose becomes itchy while you are sleeping, it's a sure sign that one of these Pokémon is standing above your pillow and trying to eat your dream through your nostrils.

Drowzee, Ruby/Sapphire.

It remembers every dream it eats. It rarely eats the dreams of adults because children's are much tastier.

Drowzee, Silver/Soul Silver.

These guys are creepy.

 

Yamask White entry: These Pokémon arose from the spirits of people interred in graves in past ages. Each retains memories of its former life.

Wait, so these things are PEOPLE who got buried alive? And they REMEMBER it?

Yamask Black entry: Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry.

Cubone cries because it lost its mother. Yamask cries for the sheer existential horror that it has become.

 

I think this is one of the most interting entries...
When your spoink is fainted it will die anyway... xD
So take it, shake it and run to the Pokémon center!
