    Sometimes they're absolutely stunning and sometimes they're made by 11 year olds with Movie Maker but they're almost always filled with passion; AMVs!
    Have you ever made an AMV yourself? What are your favorite AMVs?
    I've made a couple anime mashups on my channel but I wouldn't exactly call them them AMVs and I'll admit they were all made with Movie Maker :sweat:
    There's a few REALLY good ones I found though. It's a shame AMVs aren't very respected, but oh well. At least I enjoy them :3

    Oh geez, AMVs. This takes me back to my 2007-2009 YouTube days. :P YouTube was the first social media site I ever used to communicate with others, and it was absolutely awesome back then. I used to make a bunch of AMVs myself. At one point, I had over 100 videos worth of AMVs, but I deleted most of them and now I'm stuck with about 30~. I'd say I was pretty good at making them, and I had a few great friends who were really great at them. I've always considered trying to make them again, but I've probably lost my touch over the years, and I unfortunately don't have the time for it anymore.

    I don't have an absolute favorite AMV, but the first one that comes to mind is this one:

    Ano Natsu de Matteru is a really amazing anime, and that AMV, while being very simple in terms of effects and whatnot, portrays is pretty well. The song choice is absolutely perfect, and the way it's set up is simply superb. When I first found and clicked on it, I thought it was gonna be a different song that's also named "Pieces", but what I found was much, much better.
    This AMV actually got me into the band Red! They have a lot of good songs, and I've always known about them but never decided to try to give them a chance until I found out about this AMV.

    I have two that I absolutely love, and I honestly couldn't pick a favorite between them. Both fit the music really well honestly, and the editing is, in my opinion, really great haha.
    Course I know little to none about video editing. But.

    When Plug.dj was still a thing, I had a playlist full of AMVs that I though were good, or at least lot better than those amvs with music just slapped on a fighting scene. There were over 100 there iirc.
    As far as AMVs go, I'd say that these two are masterpieces.

    I've thought about making them many, many times, owning the right software and everything, but it's definitely very, very tricky to make and pull off. I admire anyone who makes them, they're hard work!! ^^'
