A Nintendo Direct has been announced for the Animal Crossing Mobile Game! This Direct will stream on Nintendo's YouTube Channel from 8:00 pm PT / 11:00 pm ET on October 24th, and will last approximately 15 minutes. It was also made clear that there will be no discussion regarding an Animal Crossing title for the Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo Switch, just the mobile title.

I'm a huge Animal Crossing fan so this is very exciting to me! I don't play a lot of mobile games but I will definitely play this one.

I've never played any Animal Crossing before, mostly because I don't want to risk 40-60 USD on a game so far out of my usual interest that it's a gamble if I'll even like it or not. However, if this is a free game (which it probably is and certainly should be), then I'm all over that. Hopefully it's along the same lines as Miitomo with social features (and optional paid content, why not, even though I won't buy it), but also as an actual game instead of only a small social network. That could be a whole lot of fun. Oh how I hope this turns out to be good.
