Which Anime clichés do you never want to see again in an anime?

    For me,

The whole thing Naruto had going on. Naruto's friends get hurt. Naruto hate bad guy. Naruto become strong to defeat bad guy. Naruto win. Repeat circle.

The main protagonist sitting in the back of the classroom, next to the window. Do the main character always have to sit in the back, next to the window? Like is there a seating chart for all main characters attending school?

I also hate how in most shonen series, the main characters are always "the chosen ones" or have some sort of hidden potential that no one else has. In the beginning they start out weak and what not, but then something happens and they become overpowered as hell, and render all the other characters pretty much irrelevant and useless in the later arc. (I'm looking at you Dragon Ball Z)

Like Achromatic said, that's one cliché I'm tired of seeing, and it's something Bleach is guilty of too.

Another thing I dislike is the constant killing of characters to the point where they lose all shock factor and any emotional investment you had with the show. A character's death shouldn't be cliché, and it shouldn't be happening nearly every episode. Akame ga Kill's anime (since it ignored the manga) lost all my attention and any positive thoughts I had about the show. It's one of the only shows I strongly recommend you don't watch, or if you do, ignore everything past episode ~20 as it's not in the manga so all deaths should be considered unofficial.

They kill off 3 characters who don't die in the manga, all main characters and one is the show's main protagonist. As an extra kick in the teeth, the deaths are all cliché ("you promised me! don't die!") and some have very unrealistic reactions, such as the primary protagonist's girlfriend dying (didn't happen in manga), and then in the next episode, he's totally fine and it's like he never met her. He himself dies a few episodes later. Because of a giant robot. In medieval times. Worst manga-anime adaptation I've ever seen.

Unfortunately, that seems to be the mold for Shounens.
Fairy Tail is much the same, same with Bleach.

I'm sick of villains needing some sort of backstory that explains their villainy.
We need more unforgiving, selfish villains who are evil just because.

This is why I love Jojo, because all the important deaths are really good, and actually mean something. Sure, a lot of characters die but it isn't a constant or unimportant thing.

Main characters who everyone likes/ falls in love with. They can be unlikeable and seem to have no chemistry at all with any other characters, and yet they inexplicably get all the ladies or guys.
Some examples I can think of from the top of my head are 'Knights of Sidonia' (already a terrible anime), 'High School of the Dead', 'Darker than Black' (Okay, I liked DtB, and I won't deny that Hei is a badass, but it seems that every female character has some sort of fixation with him.), and 'Black Blood Brothers'
Keep in mind some of these animes aren't that great sooooooo....

I've had enough of characters almost dying, but then not really because we don't want to actually kill a character. Come on, it makes everyone almost invincible, which takes away a lot of the intensity of the anime. I wish more anime wouldn't be too afraid to kill a character every now and then, it would add a lot of surprise to the show, something I think is really important.
