Anime Recommendations?

    I know I am not very active - I pop in every so often to check on the site and see if some old friends are alright. A link to my old thread: http://lakevalor.net/topic/13075-recommend-me-anime-based-on-my-few-i-have-seen/

    I could use some new suggestions and discussion on what you thought. From last time, here is what has changed:


    I still watch naruto actively (I played ninja storm 4 to finish the story already, will still watch the episodes if the animation looks cool)

    Played undertale for the good ending [no spoilers] it was amazing - lul

    Finish list: --------------------------------------------
    • FInished FLCL (It was pretty good)
    • Finished One Punch Man (I expected to be overhyped, but it was great)
    • Finished Hunter x Hunter (it was amazing, still want some answers - apparently the manga is going but I don't read)
    • Finished Tokyo Ghoul (both season - no spoilers but I want answers / a real ending - great anime though)

    • Started watching Dragon Ball Super (its aiiight, might drop it)
    • Started My Hero Academia (its great so far)
    • Watched a few JoJo & Viewtiful Joe episodes (Jojo is pretty interesting, I saw a lot of dio memes. Viewtiful Joe is cool)
    • Gave up on One Piece (its just toooo long) I am interested in One Piece though if there is any part easy to skip to and start watching from.
    • Watched ONE episode of the Ace Attorney anime (it was pretty good, despite that,I saw a lot of hate in the comments for it)
    • I saw one anime I can't remember the name (they were on a train, someone was operating a crane and they saw a giant black monster made of other small ones. (I HOPE thats not a spoiler, I just would like the name if anybody can remember it)

    I have considered watching Attack on Titan since Tokyo Ghoul was good. Its not that I hate the gore or killing at all (I don't mind it one bit) I just really want a happy ending. I may or may not have spoiled Full Metal by staying on youtube too long, is the story good leading up to it?


    I think thats everything. What are your thoughts / recommends? Like or dislike the shows? Should I watch something based on what I watched?

    Hmm... Judging your list, you seem to be watching a lot of "mainstream" anime, if that's what I can call them.
    Have you considered watching Shokugeki no Soma (Food Wars!)? It's different from the anime on the list above, but it's certainly a lot of fun to watch. I know of a lot of people who enjoyed the series, and who knows, maybe you'll like it too!
    Other than that, I can recommend Death Parade to you. Death Parade fits in better with the anime on your list. It's short (only 12 episodes long as I recall) but it's sooooo good. I'm sure you'll love it... especially the ending!

    I'd recommend watching Attack on Titan if you're already considering it. It doesn't have a sad ending, but I wouldn't say it's a "happy" ending. It is satisfying though.

    Also, if I'm not mistaken, this is from Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. I'm watching that too (it's currently airing) and I would recommend that as well. Pretty good action.
    And it's not really a spoiler, it doesn't add much to the story, so you're good.

    It seems like you're a fan of action from the list of anime you've seen, so here's a few I've watched and enjoyed quite a bit:
    • Noragami + Noragami Aragoto
    • Rokka no Yuusha
    • Owari no Seraph + Owari no Seraph: Nagoya Kessen-hen
    • Bungou Stray Dogs
    • Ajin (highly recommended if you really liked Tokyo Ghoul)

    Tokyo Ghoul is also supposed to get a season 3. But if you want a different ending, read the manga. I don't read the manga so I can't tell you how different it is, sorry.
    Attack on Titan is also getting a 2nd season, but that, along with Tokyo Ghoul season 3, are probably only gonna happen in 2017.

    Yes, I am fairly new to anime so I was trying to keep to stuff everyone seemed to like. I did see a few episodes of Food Wars (it was pretty funny) and death parade looks kinda interesting.

    I took a look at these, it was Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.

    I saw a few episodes of Owari no Seraph before (it was pretty good) and Bungou Stray Dogs looks very very interesting. The others all looked good too,

    Gotta say Haikyuu!! because that's the best anime ever made but otherwise it looks like we our tastes are very different so I don't think there's too much I can recommend you'd like.
