Some people have rule about Anime, you don't drop an Anime (stop watching) for any reason. However there are those anime in which I had to break my little rule and just completely drop them. There are many reasons you could drop an anime.

    • Too Gorey
    • Bad animation
    • Bad Audio
    • You didn't like the artwork
    • Your favorite character met their fate
    • Plot
    • You didn't like the direction it turned.
And many other reasons, people are different. Some of the anime I dropped include:

Trinity Seven : This anime started pretty damn good, then I came to realize it's just your average run of the mill Ecchi Anime, filled with cliches. The story was decent, i'll give it that.

    Dropped: Episode 7

Denpa Kyoushi : This anime...had a very good plot, I was hyped for this anime, but when I started watching it I found out that no matter how good the plot, execution of it is key also. The anime had horrible audio, animation, and art-style. Every character is in the same art-style, then you have the sister and she's...blandish, she's in a completely different art-style than everyone else.

    I mean...this should not happen

Bleach: It got way too bad filler happy, and the story of every season was nearly identical to the point where it's ridiculously predictable.

Black Butler (season 2): I barely got half way through the second season's FIRST EPISODE before closing the video tab. Annoying new character that I couldn't stand to listen to (the new blonde brat). Plus the series didn't even need a second season. It's ending was completely wrapped up in the first one.

Gundam SEED: Ugh this anime was a chore to get through for me, I just couldn't finish it. I didn't like any of the characters, they were mostly annoying, and the plot wasn't very unique at all.

Saiyuki: The only good things that came from this anime are the amazing Japanese voice cast which capture the characters PERFECTLY <3, the movie, and the OVA episodes. The actual anime series only follows the manga plot up until about 10-15 episodes before going off on it's own path full of bad filler and unneeded character additions. And when it does rarely follow the plot of the manga, the rating has been toned way down to stupid levels. The animation is bad, especially in Reload and Gunlock, and the english dub is horrendous. Do yourself a favor and avoid this anime, and stick to the manga, movie, and OVAs, and Drama CDs, they are amazing.

I always make it a sort of rule that I always finish my anime. The only times I break that rule is when I just lose interest in anime for a longer period of time, I just kinda forget about what happened, but I don't want to have to watch all of it again (aka Tokyo Ghoul, Fairy Tail, Blue Exorcist, and Future Diary).

The only anime I once started, but just could finish, has to be JoJo. I watched the first episode of it, and I really didn't like it. Nothing in that entire episode appealed to me, and nothing made me want to watch any more of it. Some anime have a weird kind of appeal when they're really bad, like you know it's not good but you still want to watch more, but even that wasn't the case here. I just didn't want to see any more of it.

Black Butler, Soul Eater, Fairy Tail: i don't like watching TV. I just don't.

Death Note: it didn't appeal to me

Ouran Host Club: no. Just no.

Fruits Basket: the set up for a love triangle just killed all interest

Yu-gi-oh: I couldn't get past the first episode. It was boring.

Pokémon: after Sinnoh, it went downhill fast

I guess the obvious one is Pokémon, Best Wishes took the anime, stabbed it 37 times in the chest, and then ate its hands. It just felt like too many one liners and gimmicks and didn't have the charm that it used to have.

Also, WataMote. Most people have different opinions on comedy animes because their sense of humour is different. One of my friends enjoyed WataMote, and I did to... for the first three episodes. The problem with WataMote is that they stretch out the joke so long that it isn't funny anymore and it just feels awkward to watch. I will confess that I stupidly watched this anime in public, but that had nothing to do with my enjoyment, because when I went and watched the rest of the episode at home it just felt the same level of awkward.

    Dropped: episode 6

Also, Shinmai Maou no Keiyakusha. This one was a mistake from the beginning. I was right off the back of watching both Maoyuu Maou Yuusha and Devil is a Part Timer and thought why not. I probably should've read all the reviews and recommendations that said it was pretty much HighSchool DXD, an anime I swore I'd never watch because... well... you know... The thing is, the plot is interesting, it could've been really good... but sooooooo much forced ecchi... And here is the thing, it was censored because it was the tv version and I have a tendancy to skip ahead to get to important plot points, so I didn't realise how crazy ecchi it was until episode 7 and I realised I skipped half the episode... Yea... should always read review first and be wary of ecchi from now on...

    Dropped: Episode 7

Owari no Seraph: Plot just wasn't my thing. Love Crowley tho. Maybe I'll read the manga.
Gundam SEED: Very few likable or relatable characters. Very drama ridden. I liked 00 but SEED was a bit of a dip in the gundam series.

Personally I've dropped plenty of anime simply because I start watching it, then life gets busy and have to stop watching it for a while and just can't muster the ability to continue on while trying to remember what happened before or rewatch the episodes that I had already watched. A good example of that was Durarara!! 2 Shou. I dropped it around episode 3 or so, not by any fault of the show itself. I actually love Durarara, but it had just been such a long time since the first season that I just couldn't recall alot of the details that they were referring to, so I dropped it till I found the time to rewatch the rest of the series and the second half of x2 was out.

Another was Aldnoah:Zero. The moments were it was good were great, but there was just so much slow moving plot with only a few interesting characters out of it's cast that it was painful to get to some of the great mech moments.
    Dropped episode 10.

I dropped Fairy Tail because it really lost its charm around and before the Key of the Starry Skies arc. It felt like the same thing over and over and over and over and over, plus the running gags like Happy messing around with Lucy were getting really annoying.

Um, I haven't dropped much else, actually. Also, Hestia is Bestia. Loli-Big-Boobs is best girl.

Attack on Titan: I tried watching it late at night, never finished the first episode.

Terraformers: I really liked this, but when they decided to rerelease it before finishing and included no censor, i couldn't watch it for all the inevitable gore.

Log Horizon: I hit a point where i lost interest in anime, and just never grew interested in it again.

Fairy Tail: Not interesting enough to watch 30+ episodes with the sub in any language but English.

Tower of Druaga (whatever the second one is): It just wasn't enjoyable compared to the first one.

That's the list of one's I can think of.

I could never finish SAO (Sword Art Online). Don't get me wrong, I loved the first 12 episodes, but then it kind of took a turn for the worse as the series continued. It was just a little off. Needless to say I completely dropped it. I didn't want it to taint my good memories of the first arc.

Ah. There's been quite a few with me. Death Note, Elfen Lied, Shadow Star, Rage of Bahamut, Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Gundam SEED,Tokyo Ghoul, Deadman Wonderland, Blue Gender and Gurren Lagann all spring to mind.

Might resume Elfen Lied if I watch the subbed version, as the dub pissed me off. Might also binge watch Shadow Star, Tokyo Ghoul, Deadman Wonderland and Blue Gender as I could do with a bit of scifi horror.

Also couldn't finish Zone of the Enders: Dolores, but that's because the anime takes place between the two ZOE games, and halfway through it incorporates elements from the second game which I have yet to finish, so I didn't want to spoil anything.
