Animes You've Watched

Well, when I was a kid I watched anime, but obviously I didn't actually know it was anime, so the animes I watched before I knew what anime was were:

• Pokémon
• Dragon Ball Z

Animes I've watched since knowing what anime is and getting into and stuff...

• Fruits Basket (which I never finished just because)
• Death Note
• Attack on TItan
• Fairy Tail
• Soul Eater
• Black Butler
• Blue Exorcist (just started. will have it done in a couple days because its short, but for now, shh...)

 

I haven't watched much anime, really- I did watch most of Pokémon, up until the last arc of the first series of Yu-Gi-Oh, and the first 4 seasons of Digimon on TV when I was a kid, though.

As for animes I've watched recently, my friend streamed Black Rock Shooter (both the OVA and the anime), and that was pretty good. The same friend also showed me the dub of Ghost Stories, which was hilarious because the voice actors ad-libbed almost everything because the original script was so bad.

The one anime that I really got into was one that I discovered a couple days ago- Attack on Titan. I usually don't get hooked on any kind of show after the first episode, but holy crap is this anime amazing. Between the beautiful animation, great characters, dark but still very entertaining story, and great action sequences, it's definitely got me hooked and I look forward to future episodes.

 

Not many but a couple. Pokémon, the first two or three seasons of Digimon, G-Gundam, Gundam Wing, Gundam 00, The Vision of Escaflowne, Witch Hunter Robin, Inuyasha (it was early highschool, I was confused, experimenting, it was a different time!), Speed Grapher and Queen's Blade: The Exiled Virgin (swordfights and boobs, great combo.)

Well more than a couple I guess, but not that many.

I'm more of a manga person...

 

I've watched very few animes myself. I used to watch Pokémon a lot up until about Diamond and Pearl, and have only seen two episodes of Black and White. The only anime that I still do watch, however, is Keroro Gunsou/Sgt. Frog, which I've also managed to turn a few of my friends onto. In turn, one of them slightly inspired me to watch a bit of Digimon whenever I get the chance.

Most say it doesn't, I'm among them. It's not in a cartoon format, it's 3DCG. (Not to be confused with 3DMG) I think that kind of drives it away from being considered anime.

But anyways, I've watched up to about Episode 40 of InuYasha, and need to get back onto it, the first few episodes of Free! but never really got into it, and all of Shingeki no Kyojin that's been released at the moment. SnK would definitely be my favorite, action packed, dramatic, a great story line, and PLOT TWISTS GALOOOOOOORE.

 

The main reason it's not anime is because it's not Japanese, it's American. Anime=Japanese cartoons. American-made cartoons are not anime no matter what style they choose to use.
