Are there words out there that annoy the hell out of you? I know that LOL and OMG tend to get on my nerves. I know it's used when people text, which is understandable but to actually say the word just annoys me.

Sentences that annoy are: Come at me, bro.
    Do you even lift?
    Cool story, bro.

Got any words or sentences I missed? Post below. :)

At the end of the day. Annoying phrase in the way it's most commonly used.

"Well, at the end of the day such and such." "That might be true but at the end of the day.."

Ugh, it drives me crazy. It's an attempt to have the last and final say on whatever issue is being spoken of, it's haughty, and usually said by people who think they are smarter than they actually are, and think they have more authority on a subject than they actually do.

"It's unacceptable." I had a boss at work that said this all the time without a reason for why. it drove me nuts. Now whenever I hear people say this, I cringe.

If someone simply says: "You're wrong." or: "That's wrong." it annoys me. I don't mind if they give me a good explanation for an alternative to whether i am wrong or not, but people just saying "Your wrong" annoys me.

Also, any insult relating to "Your mom" really ticks me off. I mean, who actually came up with that? And why is it actually considered an insult?

I really hate it when people correct others and start the sentence with "ummm" or "um". Example: "Umm no, why would you think that?" it makes them sound so cocky and like they're smarter than everyone else, kinda similar to Aura's and Doima's (who I totally agree with). I just hate the way stuck up people speak to belittle everyone else.

It bugs me when people say stuff like "Such and such is horrible and stupid!" when they haven't even tried it for themselves.

I just hate written condescending tones. There's a member of another forum I'm on who takes particular delight in abusing this method of speech when trying to make a point.

The most annoying words ever to me are dope and legit. Legit is a perfectly fine word when used properly, but not when people throw it around crazily. "Hey dude, that new (insert object here) is so legit!" do you mean to say there was a question of its legitimacy? Did it look illegitimate? :P And dope... It's hard to not be vulgar when discussing my hate of this word... "That's so dope!" What does that even mean? :P

I hate when people just use 'because', or 'because I said so!' as an answer. It drives me up the wall! I want a real answer! >:c

Though I'm not a sexist person, I've noticed some female's speech habits bother me. The amount of times they say, "Omigod" and, "I swear to God" get on my nerves. It's a bad habit to speak like that, and it's annoying as hell.

I also hate the word "Yolo". Words do not begin to express my hate for that word.

Irregardless. It's not even a real damn word. It's just "regardless". People try to sound smart by saying this, but really, they look dumb for using a non-existent word intended to make things sound "higher class".

My mother has a written rule on our rules list that no one in the house is to say "free gift" or "proven fact" because they are redundant. All facts are proven and all gifts are free.

She also hates "very unique". You can't categorize how unique something is. It is or it isn't unique, not "very unique" or "not very unique."

I can agree with her. Redundancy is really annoying to the point where it gets on my nerves. ( :P )

I agree with the first two, those are just plain simple xD

I think unique is a word that can have levels though, something may be more unique than another, and something may be very unique or not very unique at all. I prefer the word "original" over that though, it just sounds better xD

I hate it when people curse mid sentence too much. Yes, I curse, and quite often I might add, but there's usually a reason for it. I hate it when almost 80% of the sentence is just full of curse words.

"Damn that motherfucking cool shit! I fucking love this piece of shit so so much, you got that, bastard?! It's the coolest batch of motherfucking cookies you'll ever fucking taste with your shitty little tongue! Aaaaah, fuck this, I want another tucking piece, dammit!"

...sigh, it's even worse in Filipino...

I agree EmeraldGlee. I hate it when people use swearing like that. What's more depressing is that there are even swears in the music that's being released. It's everywhere...

I despise it when swear words are used stupidly as well. For example, take the sentence:
"That is so ((insert random swear word here)) stupid!"
Saying "That is so stupid!" would be perfectly fine. In this case swearing is used as an insult or an expression of distaste; "stupid" already expresses one's disapproval of the thing they are talking about.
I can understand if it's used without other adjectives; suppose someone doesn't like dogs and points to a dog saying, "Look at that ((insert random swear word here)) dog" but still, swearing bothers me in general. I think it's for immature creeps who can't think of anything creative to say to express their feelings.

"I love Pokémon so ((insert random swear word here)) much". Yeah? Why not just say "I love Pokémon so much"? Or how about something like, "Pokémon is amazing and I love it more than any other game!"
And one more thing..."((insert random swear word here)) you!" is the lamest excuse for an insult ever.

    "Don't judge me!"

I hate the way this gets used so often, because it's used in a way that is basically saying "don't have opinions I don't agree with!". The reasonable standard for things in general that I follow is this: you're free to do whatever you want, and everyone else is free to feel how they want and think what they want about it. Trying to tell people how not to think about something you choose to do or be is bullshit.

    "That's life"
    "Deal with it"
"I know you better than you know yourself."
    "See? I told you."
"Now how are you going to do that?"

    And my personal favorite:

"I'm the father, you're the child."
