Any of you plan to soft reset for a shiny starter?

I'm not patient enough to see this awesome game start over and over again to play it, I want to play it immediately

 

Are you serious? Of course not! I'm not going to waste days trying to get a shiny starter, I want to play that game already! However, I will reset it if my starter has a really bad Nature, but nothing more than that.

 

Depends on if I win the Oktoberfest Shiny Treecko or not

 

Maybe a specific nature, but most definitely not a shiny, haha.

 

I bred a shiny Treecko in X that I'm going to transfer over (along with a ton of other Pokémon I'm going to use) as my starter in Omega Ruby, haha. I may try to SR for a shiny one when I play Alpha Sapphire, but on the first day, I'm just going to play with the Pokémon I've bred specifically for that runthrough!

 

Nope. I did buy a 5 IV Treecko for it though

 

Sadly I will definitely SR for a decent nature otherwise it will bug me greatly. :c No shiny though, that's a bit much haha.

 

I'd probably reset for a nature, but not for a shiny. I have no patience to try to get a shiny, plus it's a lot more fun just playing the game than just trying to get a little detail that probably will take hours.

 

Since i'm getting both versions, I *may* try to SR for a shiny, but I usually don't last on patience either lol.

 

I already have that covered. Got a shiny Swampert and Shiny Sceptile in X/Y. I also have a Shiny Latias and a Shiny Rayquaza... I did a lot of soft reseting in R/S/E

 

Not really, I have a Shiny Swampert in my X & Y all ready for trade.

 

I'm gonna SR for a female (unless I get lucky like I did on my first playthroughs of both X and Y and get a female the first time); might SR for a decent nature in addition to having a female starter. Don't really care about having a shiny starter, plus knowing my luck it'd take ages just to get one @_@

 

Planning on having all three Hoenn starters, shiny 5/6 IV EV trained and level 5 ready to start off the game

 

It is not necessary...I can trade like others. I don't want to ruin the emotion, starting over and over again. I want to enjoy the game, stopping only when the game forces me.

 

Nope, because the chance of getting shiny starters are slender, and you can just get a shiny when you breed with your starter.
Also, i think there is no point of getting starter shinies (except for those who like the color for shinies), since it doesn't give a stat boost.

 

If I had enough patience in X/Y to soft reset for a shiny Rotom, I can do it here.
(Guess what I've been doing for the last two days?)

 

I did try SR-ing in OR but lost patience and just traded over the Shiny Mudkip I had been saving for OR from Y. I learnt how to balance it to the point where it would still obey me till I reached Roxanne and beat her for the badge (I managed till the actual battle before it started goofing around. I was so tempted to let him faint but he pulled through.)
