I've seen a lot of games on this forum, but not one about Spyro! So, are there any Spyro fans out there besides me? If so, which game was your favorite? Did you have a favorite character? Did you like the most recent game they came out with?

I have the original trilogy, and a 100% file on all of them. I liked Hunter the best

I love Spyro! :D I played those games a lot on PS1. My favorite was probably Ripto's Rage, I never tired of the worlds! I still have it and play it sometimes. Year of The Dragon was really fun too! Spyro is probably my favorite character :D

I'm not so fond of the new games though :( Spyro went from breathing fire to just.. spamming combo attacks.

Yay, I'm not the only one! Lol I liked Enter the Dragonfly. Also, your right about the new games. I found that I barely used the breath powers and when i did it was usually to finish any enemies off. But, I did love the flying feature they added on Sypro: Dawn of the Dragon.

The skateboarding in Year of the Dragon was fun.

I don't remember a whole lot about the Spyro franchise to be honest, but maybe... I'm going to guess seven years ago Spyro was one of my favorites. I used to have an X Box, and when I did we had a Spyro game on it. I don't really remember what game it was, but I do know that I played it daily and beat the game a few times. Unfortunately the X Box I played on did break down eventually, so my dad took the system and replaced it with a Wii.

So I guess you could say former Spyro fan? I would probably still like the franchise, but unfortunately it's been replaced with that Skylanders crap.

Yeah. I don't like Skylanders at all. >.< Very dissapointed in that. Crappy dialogue, crappy plot. I just don't like it

    Yessssh I remember Spyro~
But I only like the older games (and I've recently 100% Ripto's rage) because they were challenging and comical; Enter the Dragonfly was disappointing. I tried Skylanders and didn't like it.

Yeah, none of the new games have puzzles to be honest with you. And Dawn of the dragon lacked its usual humor for stale and dry humor :/

Some of my favorite music from the trilogy:

Year of the Dragon: Seashell Shore/Crystal Islands (in the USA version anyway)

I have more where those came from:

    Spyro the Dragon: Sunny Flight

Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer: Cloud Temples

Trivia: the flute melody in Cloud Temples is an actual Chinese melody called "Temple By a River"

I remember the original 3. I liked 3 the best, 2 was pretty good as well, 1 wasn't as good as the other 2 but great as the first game. I played the others that came out but they weren't as good. When it got to "The legend of Spyro" trilogy i stopped. Now i see Skylanders and my image of Spyro has shattered. Good thing i still have the PS1 games from all those years ago :)

yes! spyro was one of the first games i remember having and playing as a kid - it was my mom's favorite too! the original three were the best! i still have the first one and play it occasionally, i beat it 100% a few years ago! the music is awesome. i had and liked the new beginning but i never played any of the others of the trilogy, though i'd like to some day! the story was interesting and it was a refreshing reboot, though it lacked the charm of the originals.

Yeah, A New Begining was pretty good but like every one said, it wasn't as good as the originals. I personally liked Eternal Night because I could play as Dark Spyro.

Like a lot of people, I only played the first three games (only played a bit of the 3rd game, though).

I remembered getting afar in the first game, but i've never beaten it; same with the 2nd game, which was a bit of a miracle considering I had only rented it at the time and we were on vacation and playing it in a trailer. XP I own all three of them on my PS3 though.
