Now, then, out of my 17 years of living, I've never once dressed up and celebrated Halloween, never trick-or-treated or anything...So was there anyone else that grew up that way?
Yeah, not a big fan. Nice that candy is on sale, and there are fun non-trick-or-treat family-friendly events that go on in some places, so it's not too bad.
I did it when I was a kid. It now I don’t really. The only reason I go is just for my younger siblings and the fact that I can wear my Cowboy hat in public without feeling wierd.
I don't celebrate Halloween either, because my parents told me when I was a kid that Halloween is not a german celebration day. Halloween is in Germany through globalization so I don't want to support it, but I do a Horror movie marathon every 31.October. Does that Count as celebrating?
I don't celebrate Halloween either, but I do like the aesthetics of it. Halloween isn't celebrated much here in Australia because most people think of it as 'that American holiday' that us aussies shouldn't be celebrating.
I once did, when I was 10 or a little bit older. I do not celebrate it anymore, since I'm not really interested anymore, and the most families near also don't. I only do buy like a million sweets for myself, because of the sale.
Considering Halloween isn't celebrated that much in Britain, I don't celebrate it that much (not since my teen years, at least), though I do kinda like the idea of it, and I want an excuse to dress up as a plague doctor. Make money by selling fake cures, why not?
In Philippines, we celebrate Undas on Halloween (our version of Dia de los Muertos) when we go to home provinces and visit cemeteries, if that makes vu feel better~
When I was younger, I did, mostly for the candy. Now, I find it rather boring, and I’m not a fan of creepy stuff. I don’t plan to celebrate Halloween in the future, unless I’m forced to.
Halloween gets slowly bigger in my country and ive never been trick or treating. Or went yo a party but for me I celebrate my own way of Halloween.
*Sees thread title* *raises hand* Me! You see, halloween isn't so popular in India. I don't really know about other states, but it isn't where I live. Most people don't even know what's halloween! T^T I too wanna dress up and go trick or treating!
Nah, I dressed up to go around and collect candy up until I was about...12 or 13 years old. I remember that year I didn't go out because I had a school project to work on, and after that I lost interest in the holiday. Any "celebrating" I had after that was pretty much forced upon me by my family buying candy to give out to kids, but oh look where did everybody else disappear to when the time came to give it out? There are times when I miss the fun of wearing the costumes. I don't miss having to give out candy, though. Not one bit.
Nope, is not a thing here despite the stores doing their best to try and make it a thing. My country already have a similar tradition is just much earlier in the year.
