    It sounds strange, but did you notice a theme with Water? Team Plasma's ship, main characters wearing clothes which kind of are like wet suits, Undella Bay changed a lot, and the Striaton's gym typings were all gone except for one which is Water. Did you notice anything else? Is this a future hint or just silly speculation? What are your thoughts?

    Yeah, A little bit. TWO beachfront towns, Undella town and Humilau city being connected underwater, another surfing route.

    There was some attention to water yeah, but I don't find the there to be an especially heavy water theme. It was there of course but didn't overshadow everything. Team Plasma seemed more water-based than before using a ship on the ocean for part of the games and I thought their style was very pirate-like. I have no idea what you mean about Striation's gym typings being gone except water though, the gym is no longer even there and all three of the former gym leaders and their types are represented equally in the cafe where you can battle with them.

    What I mean is that there are no longer any fire or grass gym leaders, only a Water leader being Marlon.

    Well, the heavier focus on water may have been to draw some more attention to their newly designed water tiles, which I admit are quite excellent, as well as the marine tube. Overall, I believe they just did this for graphical purposes, as the theme of X & Y seems to look suspiciously like Norse mythology.

    Yeah, that's why I have always called them Team Plasma Pirates! But really, I have found the game to be more "water based". It isn't like S/R/E at all though.
