Are Aliens real?

Yes, because I'm an alien O.o

 

Don't you think it's at all arrogant for us to think that in this infinite universe Earth is the only planet that can sustain life?

I certainly do. So yes, I do think that somehow, somewhere there are aliens out there, but I think their chances of meeting us is close to impossible.

The Universe is infinite, so I think it's more than possible that there is other life, out there. However, I don't believe we would ever be able to cross paths. I also believe that it doesn't necessarily have to be intelligent life, either. It could be anything from bacteria to animals to humanoids. Who knows?

 

Alright, here is my serious answer. No. I mean, I'm pretty sure something woulda been discovered by now, since we've discovered over 93 billion lightyears in space (I know, the universe is infinite, but if other life was out there, I'm sure it would be on more than one planet).

I think aliens are out there. We may encounter them.

If we don't however, it's because they've looked at Earth, studied it carefully, and decided they REALLY don't want to associate with us because we'd probably end up being universally embarrassing as a species.

 

Unless they show up on earth, I can't say that I really care

 

For some reason, I agree that aliens exist. Either way, if aliens existed or didn't exist, the government would still keep the information away from us, would they not?
Also, a few years ago, there was water on another planet. (Mars I think?) What I think is that if there is water, there is life.

Pretty much, I'd say they are real.

I like to imagine that they've all become space faring civilisations and have formed a massive intergalactic metropolis with all the technology we see in sci-fi. And somewhere in that metropolis is a council that's still undecided if they should establish contact with Earth or just leave it to be retarded on its own.

Because that's what we'd be to them: retarded.

Although we may have "discovered" 93 billion light years into space, we haven't been able to study it in close enough detail to determine if there is alien life or not. Hell, to even detect a distant planet, our best method is to watch a distant star with extremely sensitive instruments and detect an incredibly miniscule dimming of light indicating a planet is passing in front of it. We don't really have the means to look at it in close enough detail to discover distant beings, yet.

I'm certain they exist somewhere in the universe, and I think it's at least possible that they've been here. I don't think we'd ever have to worry about an "alien war" if some advanced species found us and didn't like us; they'd be able to obliterate us before we even knew it. And I doubt some sort of galactic federation type of thing would hand us an invite until we are well into being a Type 1 civilization on the way to Type 2 on the Kardashev scale; right now we're still basically Type 0, and what would even be the point? Not to mention the well documented violence problems against our own species. But I'm at least open to the possibility we've bee observed.

 

I do believe that they exist. I think that the idea that Earth is unique in its sustaining of life as a stupid idea. Also, I did an assignment on one of Saturn's moons (Titan) and it has been found that it could sustain life if the surface was warm enough, so it is pretty much definite that they do exist.

 

Aliens? I've read a book about the worlds top UFO encounters, and most of the people that have encountered the alien life forms, died strangely from radiation... But the question is, are this encounters for real? And we may have discovered 93 billion light years into space, but we don't have the technology to detect or prove that there are other life form out there. If we do meet them, how can we communicate with them? And, on a side note, most alien films I watch wants us to be exterminated. If they are hostile, our weapons are no match with theirs...

 

I'm pretty sure there's something out there in this vast universe, but I am a firm believer that whatever's out there, it don't look nothin' like what we're imagining.

So there's this thing called the Drake Equation that calculates the approximate chance that there's alien life out there, and it's a pretty good chance there is. But the problem is that if we can see them with a space telescope, the light we're seeing is millions of years old because it takes that long for the light to travel from there to here. Same goes for alien life, it would take the light from Earth millions of years to get to them too. So we're sort of in a lose-lose situation here. Take the Kepler planets for instance, the images they've gathered are bits of light we've received now, but were sent out so long ago that we're seeing the planet as it might not be right now. So I do believe that there has been, maybe are, and will be alien life elsewhere, we just don't have a way to tell.

And if you haven't gathered from my name, I'm a Whovian (and a Trekkie), so I guess I know a lot about space.

 

Aliens probably are real. The universe is so impossibly big that it would be almost impossible for them to not exsist. So yes, somewhere out there, there is another living creature with a mind.

 

I feel like it's arrogant to say they don't exist. I mean, we don't even know how big the universe is, or even if it ever ends. We don't know for sure that we're the only living creatures, and we probably aren't. Just think about it.

 

Theoretically speaking, it's totally possible that life has formed on other planets just like it has formed on Earth. It took millions of years for evolution to happen to make us, so these aliens might not be as advanced as they are acclaimed to be, but then again, we might be the unadvanced ones and the aliens may have developed earlier than us, which would also support the theories of alien visitations.

Personally speaking, I totally believe that they exist and that they are watching us, almost like they're trying to manage this planet and make sure we don't destroy ourselves (which is bound to happen )
