Are you a boy, or a girl?

I am a boy, so that's what I'll be in OR/AS as well

 

Girl, so I'll probably play as the girl.

 

I am still debating. I usually go with the male character on my first playthrough, because well, I am male xD But for challenges and other runs, I sometimes also go with the female character, because I don't know, it's different. So I haven't decided quite yet.

 

Girl. I could care less about if it matches my gender tbh but the boy's clothing selection in XY was really bad, cx

And I just prefer May>Brendan. I might use Brendan in my OR if I ever get it (getting AS first) but I'll probably always use May.

 

I am unsure actually. I usually go for the male since I am one, but IDK. And I also like to name the characters by their official names too

 

I'm a girl so I'm going to play as a girl. I've always liked May more than Brendan anyways.

Maybe if character customization is confirmed to be in the game, I'll play as a boy in my second playthrough.

 

I'll just pick a girl considering I am one. I once picked a boy and i regretted it.​

 

I'm actually going to be picking the girl. Not only do I like her design better but I actually did play as the girl my first time through Sapphire. I guess you could say its for nostalgic reasons.

 

Im going to pick the boy, since i picked the girl in XY.

And also because its the first time i picked a boy.

 

I'm going to play as a boy since that's what I always play as.

 

I've always played as a guy before...
But I like May's redesign enough that I'll probably play as her.

 

I'll be picking boy because as a child, I always used to play the gen 1 games. When I got my hands on Pokémon Ruby, I automatically chose boy because I didn't realize there was going to be a female option. That begun my journey of playing Hoenn as a dude, so might as well do it again for nostalgia reasons!

I'd pick the girl, but I like to show up as male in the wi-fi stuff, and if there's character customization in this game, picking girl clothes will be kinda dull...

 

I am most definitely a girl. n~n Always feel most comfortable playing as my own gender so choosing Brendan is out of the question. May looks really cute this time around too (though also a lot younger). xD;; I'm very excited to start playing as her to relive my R/S memories!

 

I don't have a 3DS at the moment but if I did I would definitely be a boy when OR/AS comes out. That's what I've been in every game where you can choose your gender. I don't really get why people make their characters genders other than their own.

 

Not everyone wants to play the game as themselves, some people (such as myself) like to immerse themselves into the game through another character similar to a story book.

That being said, I'm going to end up being a male in OR and a female in AS. I tend to prefer the male character more, which is why I'm choosing him for my main game copy. But hey, since I plan on getting both versions eventually I may aswell go with the girl in the other copy; especially since I like both designs.

 

I'm gonna play as the female protag. in OR and the male protag. in AS~ I probably would've gone with the male since I prefer Brendan's design to May's in RSE; however, I'm not a huge fan of his design in ORAS, plus since I was May when I first played Ruby, there's some sentimental value in playing the female.

I do it for numerous reasons: I sometimes prefer one design over the other, or I like both designs and thus want to use both. I also do it because I don't necessarily want to be myself in a Pokémon game; it's fantasy, so why not be something you're not for a change~? And then there's the fact where it feels nice playing as a different gender than the same one all the time.
