Let's Go Are you going to buy a Switch for these games?

I am currently but I definitely have incentive to purchase one between this and the smash announcement!

 

I don't have one, aaand don't really want one. I don't have as much time to play Pokémon games as I used to, so I don't really feel the need to save up for a Switch at the moment.

 

I gotta be be honest: this definitely seems like the kind of game Game Freak and Creatures would create just so people would get hyped to buy the Switch while they work on Gen 8.

Otherwise, people would just be bored with USUM. We'll see whether or not this tactic works. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My thoughts as a Switch owner:

Only really get the system if you feel like you're going to play it for the long-term based on the number of games out for it so far. The Switch has a huge library of indie games so if you're a fan of supporting indies, the Switch is pretty much a must-have. Otherwise, there's no harm in waiting until something better is released/comes out. Ideally though, if you're purchasing one, do it in the off-season whenever there's nothing interesting going on in gaming news to avoid stock issues.

The Switch is still a very new console with a developing library so it still has tons of potential ahead of it.

 

I'm still holding off on buying a Switch for now tbh. There aren't many games I want tbh (Never was into LoZ, so BotW isn't my thing). Prolly gonna wait for Metroid Prime 4, Pokémon 2019, and/or Smash.

 

Ugh, I'm in the same boat as well, and I'm sad because there will most likely be no more main series Pokémon games for the DS.

 

As someone who co-owns a Switch, I'm super excited for this. I definately feel like if you're wanting to get a Switch for these games, it's a doable thing.

 

This is indeed a problem. And I still can't find a job.

I need a job, for no reason other than to buy a switch and Lets Go Eevee.

 

Still Switch-less. Sorry Nintendo, but bills come first.

While the Let's Go games look interesting, it wasn't what I had hoped for in a Gen VIII game, so let's hope that something for real gets revealed down the road.

Heck yes! That's all I play a Nintendo console for these days anyway. Can't wait for this and the 'core' Pokémon game coming out next year for the Switch.

 

Guess I ought to start saving up cash to buy a Switch when winter rolls around. Might actually check out Nintendo's other exclusives whilst I'm at it.

 

Not for this game, but I plan on buying a switch regardless, I'm really looking forward to the next smash bros. and there's already a few games out for it that I'm interested in.

 

I already own one but if I didn't this would probably be the push that'd get me to buy one!

 

I'm not really sure about it, I'll probably wait till the price is lower. But If the core Pokémon game launches, I'll buy the Switch definitely.
