Are you nice?

To be honest, it depends on whether or not you are nice to others. If you are nice to me and others around us I am driven to be nice to you. However if you are a complete jerk to me and everyone else I honestly will be nice enough to get by but sooner or later the train will stop and I'll just either ignore you or leave. It may not be nice to walk away from a jerk but it's the best action possible.

 

It sounds a little prideful to say, but I tend to be nice to a fault. I have to be careful not to let people walk over me because it really grinds my gears, but I can't bring myself to face them about it. Most times though I definitely prefer to be nice. I am easy going and enjoy a good laugh. That has it's own downsides in that I have been rude before without realizing it, but I'm working on improving.

 

I think I'm pretty nice. I love helping out and trying to brighten people's days. Then again, I can be a little mean at times. I give really mean comebacks when I'm a little peeved, though I'm joking a majority of the time. It's a matter of perspective I guess.

 

People have referred to me as nice or friendly at times in the past, sometimes often. I find that enigmatic, at least personally, because that isn't what I try to be. I aim to be effective, to be insightful, to be respectful. Whether or not I am 'nice' is just a side effect of that. Niceness is not a quality I actively seek. I'm not rude - far from it be I - but in truth I lie more towards a neutrality on that spectrum.

Being nice to someone can spare that person's feelings for the sake of keeping peace, or shying eyes away from very real issues or problems that can be detrimental if not dealt with. That is not a risk I want to take.

 

Well, whether I'm a nice person is a very subjective question. I'm nice to my friends, usually, but I know from myself that I can be a bit of an arrogant and blunt person and words tend to come out very, very wrong when I say then so I often end up being a bit of an asshole =w=' But, at least I can say that I'm an honest person, and if asked about something I'll give my honest opinion. This.. causes some situations along the lines of 'good lord those shoes are really ugly' but oh well.. =w=

 

I think, most of my friends refers me as nice person, even though I still need to learn much more to become one.

I don't want to sound like an arse when I say this but, people always seem to like me when I meet them (or when other people talk about me with their friends)
so I guess I must be nice..... though I don't feel like I'm being particularly nice when I meet them... I tend to avoid talking to other people.....

Well, it depends on current situations... Most people say I'm nice. But, I am nice to people. Since my father raised me strictly to be nice and polite to people. So, I am nice to people. Am I nice to myself? No. I have been really mean to myself in the past. I am getting better now, but I still treat others more nicely than to myself.

 

I don't think that I'm that nice, at least towards my closer friends, since I have tendency to be somewhat mean/disrespectful with my jokes and such. So in a sense, the meaner I am towards someone, more open to I am towards them. Naturally, there are exceptions to this, since I'm not someone who can like absolutely everyone.

 

Everybody I speak to seems to call both me and my sister really nice people. I hate bragging, but it's the truth. Most people say that we are too nice and shouldn't be as nice as we are (even though we continue trying our best to be nice)!

I believe people should be nice and behave with respect. Lot's of people, based on experience, tend to stray from being a kind-hearted person - apparently bad behaviour makes one popular. I love to use my manners, be kind and especially polite. However, there are people who are especially close to me I find are trying to make me seem like a bad person...

 

I'm proud to be able to say this from the bottom of my heart: I'm a nice person. I always, always try to watch out to not harm others. Because of that, I believe no one hates me. Even if I did something stupid or feel someone else doesn't really like me, I always try to comfort them and make them change their mind. Honestly, the thought of having people who not like me around me terrifies me.
I use a technique a friend of mine taught me: "As long as you are nice to others, others won't have any reason to be mean to you." It's simple yet very effective.

 

All you people who are nice and like it, how I envy you. I'm doormat nice and I totally hate it about myself. I want to be a jerk! I want to be an a-hole! I want to be able to tell people I'm all out of craps to give when they ask me for huge favors. I just... can't! You need a ride to your boyfriend's house and he lives 30 miles away? Rather than give you a ride and decline being given gas money, I want to tell you to hire an uber! Your girlfriend cheated on you and you want to cry to me? I told you it would happen and want to tell you it's your own stupid fault for not listening, but instead I'll listen to you whine for hours on end. You forgot your money and want me to spot you some cash for lunch? I could give you a dollar for a small fries, but instead I'll probably give you ten and tell you to get whatever you want, meanwhile I won't even spend five on a steam game.

I hate being nice.

 

Eeeeh, I think I can be nice enough when I want to but it's like I always mean the nice things I say. Well, it's more friendly than nice, because usually I will say whatever I have on my mind, I just try not to be a dick about it. Acting nice and friendly doesn't really cost me a lot of effort and it makes people feel better too, so unless I seriously hate someone I'll be friendly to them, even if I dislike them a little bit. Who knows, maybe I've been acting chummy with you all this time but secretly I dislike you a little bit... That's something to think about, hm? >_>

I'm a nice person. In fact, I'm boarding on too nice for my own good. Now granted, some of it is people pleasing which stems for self esteem issues, some of it is from my personality and some is from desire to be nice as I don't enjoy being mean...
