People looking over my shoulder when I'm drawing digitally/traditionally People going through my sketchbook without asking When I wait really long for pen ink to dry and then it smears anyway. Certain types of paper feel bad for me to put my hand on, to the point of making me cringe. Compliments that clearly aren't genuine. Either because someone's just trying to be nice instead of giving actual critique, or they're just making a compliment as something to do, not because they actually believe what they say. I don't care what people say, just as long as they're genuine about it. Ink and graphite getting all over my hand if I rest it on the paper too long. Accidentally drawing on the wrong layer and not realizing until it's too late. Drawing hands and legs/feet.
"Did you draw that?" Watches as I draw the very thing they question on. When people ignore me skipping over pages, go back the page I skipped to see something I didn't want them to "Why are they naked?!" Well because they're anatomy practice/unfinished! Duh.. Everyone knows that naked figure drawing is common for artists- heck they're often a comical joke in adult shows as a 'teen/young adult rebellion' sort of thing.. "Can you draw me?" I could, but I don't want to. I mean, if you'll pay me and take it, perhaps... "Can I have this?" NO. Most of my drawings are personal/important to me, and I'd like to keep the originals on hand if I ever need to contest my ownership of the art online or something! When you've just uploaded an artwork on the internet and spot a mistake that you didn't previously notice and you have to fix it and re-upload the art again. Ugh... People constantly asking you to draw them stuff for free. It's happened to me so many times over the years -both online and in real life- that I've honestly lost count. To make matters worse they always seem to ask for things I have major trouble drawing, like people and vehicles. When you draw something and it doesn't turn exactly how you visualise it in your head. This is especially frustrating when you're trying to design characters. People always telling me to sell my drawings. No, just no. My art it's worth nothing and I'd feel awful if someone paid even $2 for something of mine.
