Ash: getting badges quickly or slowly?

    Has anyone noticed how long it's taken for Ash to get his foruth gym badge in the anime lately? In Unova, there was quite a large filler gap between Canalave City and Nimbasa, maybe about two cours worth of waiting. ~(27 episode wait.) That doesn't compare to the biggest gap between Snowpoint and Sunnyshore, though, which was 52 episode wait.

    Anyway, I have a few questions:

    do you prefer when the anime gaps out Ash's badges (Icicle Badge to Beacon Badge--52 episode wait.) or getting the badges quickly, as in less than 12 episodes of each other? (Example: Trio Badge and Basic Badge - ten episode wait.) Stupid question, do you think the huge gaps between badges is necessary or unnecessary?

    I honestly think is going too slow sometimes, sure is suppose to be about Ash's adventure through the various regions but it just feels like that they adding filler episodes for the sake of adding a filler sometimes. I would prefer if they didn't do a 50+ episode gaps, that's just too much imo. But I wouldn't want them to make it too short either if you know what I mean.

    I think small gaps Like Max:5 episode is fne but i think they do that caus ethey donot want the seson to end so fast and they want you to keep watching so they ap eveyr badge to another like 20+episodes and ash taking 30+days just to go from one city to another but hey thats Pokémon

    Each anime season takes a long time, so getting all the badges quickly would only mean that there is a huge amount of episodes left after getting them all. The reason why there is so much "filler" in between badges is simply because during his journey, he crosses through the entire region, making it able to add extra episodes in different parts of the region. So yeah, I'm cool with the way Ash obtains his badges now.

    I think 15-25 episodes between badges would be best for maintaining the flow of events as Ash goes through each region, assuming three to four seasons per region. One of the things that turned me off from the anime was the fact that he only got two badges during the entire first Johto season (Johto Journeys).
