Trial and error.

I started web management with a Pokémon site known as Pokémon Gyms & Elite Four (PGEF) six years ago. That was initially on Webs.com (TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE) and lasted around three years. A former administrator who is now banned due to racism & extreme immaturity helped me re-create it as Lake Valor when PGEF died out. Lake Valor was moved from vBulletin to IPB, then to a different host where I was in charge, as that same administrator was using an illegal copy of vBulletin and would do minimal work (one time, I asked him for the vBulletin license, and he just replied, "swag" and went offline).

Switching to IPB and managing Lake Valor's host and such by myself was a huge step from using Webs and I went through a lot of trial and error. One time, I accidentally dragged a folder into another folder in the file manager and ruined the site. I figured out my mistake later but that was scary.

I was born into a life of Pokémon. I went through phases where I didn't LOVE it, but I've always liked it since I can remember. I think I got into it through the TV show and playing my cousin's Yellow version when I was very young.

I kind of answered this above, but my goals were pretty generic. I wanted Lake Valor to be a welcoming and warm place, with a league, writers, artists, really all of what we have now. I'm so happy with what LV's become. Sorry I can't list out more goals, I had a ton of minor ones as well but I can't really recall them.
