    I love me a good lasagna with a thick hearty meat sauce

    I'll confess, I like journey fics and adventure fics, especially if the author builds on what we know about each one, or re-imagines what we all love in a cool way.

    I don't really like dark fics, as far too often they devolve into grimdark brooding angstfests with characters no one wants to care about. That being said, dark fics can be done right--the one I remember best was called Plasma's Folly, a dark re-imagining of BW/BW2 that got its darkness from ramping up Team Plasma's threat level. If you don't like Ghestis already from his HARD battle, you will hate him even more after reading this fic.
