I played the story mode for the first time today. The game has good graphics, an interesting plot, and probably a long lasting appeal for gamers that like adventures.

So basically you go back in time with Desmond and you're in the United States when there were colonies. You are trying to find a warehouse or storage place somewhere in America, and you have the key. Right now, I'm on sequence 2 so I haven't progressed far in the story.

I haven't tried the multiplayer, but I heard it's fun. There is deathmatch and objective-based modes for the multiplayer. You need an online pass in order to play a lot of online, and I purchased the pre-owned version, so I didn't receive the online pass. If I get more time to play XBOX, I will purchase this pass so I can play with friends.

Overall, I recommend this game to all types of gamers: from casual to hardcore.

Hey, I haven't played Revelations yet, am I missing out a lot? Can I just skip it and play AC3?

I haven't played it either. The thing about Assassins Creed is that you can start from anywhere. I started from AC: Brotherhood, and I understood the circumstances for Ezio and Desmond. Assassins Creed 3 is not like Harry Potter; it's more like Elders Scrolls or Batman series games.
