*I'm not really sure where this belongs so I just put it here*
    *Also beware of shameless advertising*

So as you may or may not know, I have my own YouTube channel, also named AstralDragon: http://goo.gl/K3c09K
I started off by doing Let's Plays, like Pokémon Red, Pokémon Sapphire, and currently Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and Zelda: Link to the Past.
But a while ago, I decided to try something new, and I made the video "A Rant About: Whitney's Miltank" http://goo.gl/xtZx8G
This turned out to be quite succesful, so I recently made another one "A Rant About: Ash Ketchum's Age" http://goo.gl/i5oJRq

The rant video's are obviously more popular as my Let's Plays, but they take a lot more time to make. The reason why I made this topic, is because I'd like to see some feedback from people.
What should I do? Should I continue the LP's, and a Rant video every once in a while, or should I stop the LP's and focus on just the Rant video's?

And of course, if you have any other suggestions, like a topic for a future rant video, please also leave them here in a comment, I'd appreciate that a lot :D

    Thanx

You should continue LP's with a Rant every once in a while, because then you have a little variaty on your channel.

As for a topic for a rant, how about genwunners :D

Man, you don't need no suggestions. Take it from me, some one who has been making videos for a long ass time, the moment you start doing what others tell you to do is the moment you lose your identity on Youtube. Usually I'm not one to say dramatic stuff like this, but to be fair, it's true. I've been down that road and I learned that really it's better to make what you enjoy making.

Of course I'm not saying that you're accepting any old ideas without liking them, but I'm just giving future advice I guess. Good luck with your channel.

I understand what you're saying, like for example, no matter how many people would tell me to LP a certain game, if I don't enjoy the game, I won't make a Let's Play of it.

But I can only see my video's from my perspective, and I'm pretty sure there are certain flaws in my video's that I won't notice, but other people do. And that's why I'd like to get feedback from as many people as possible.
I definitely don't want to be someone who just does whatever is popular at that moment (like making a Draw my Life video was a while ago). But I'm certainly open for people's suggestions and opinions :)
