Astralogy fails at Undertale!

Trust me, the game is hilarious and absolutely amazing!

I can't wait until you meet characters like Sans, Papyrus because they're hilarious XD

Also, brief explanation of combat:

When you hit Fight and select the enemy, the white bar will move from either the right or left towards the other side of the screen. Hit the select button (z) when it's in the green section in the middle to do the most damage! Later game attack items will have you do other stuff too, like having to time more than one white bar or having to mash z.

However, every enemy in the game can be defeated by using the Act menu! In Act, when you select an enemy a number of choices will pop up. Each enemy is like a puzzle in this mode, as you have to figure out the actions or combinations of actions you have to take to be able to Spare them in the Mercy menu. An enemy can be spared when its name turns yellow in the Act or Spare menu.

Or, you know, you can hit Flee in the Spare menu and run away lol

Act or Fight is up to you, though killing or not killing certain bosses will actually affect the ending of the game, just like killing all of them or not killing any will. There's a ton of endings for each combination of kill/spare, though three main "branches" of endings I guess. Pacifist, which is kill no bosses or enemies (and is the ending where the story is fully explained), Neutral, which is kill some combination of bosses and enemies, and Genocide, which must be activated before leaving the Ruins and in which you must kill every random encounter enemy and every boss. Genocide assumes you've already played Pacifist or Neutral, and thus is full of spoilers.
