(I've never done an rp before please tell me if I do something wrong xP)

A wild Absol sits under a tree in a forest to get some shade. He yawns clumsily and lays down to get some shuteye. He looks around the vicinity to make sure no one else is around to bother him, and it appeared that no one was there. He stretched rather obnoxiously, and fell asleep under the tree.

 

A Zorua walked around in the tall grass, trying to pounce at the various Pokémon in the tall grass.

"I just wanna plaaay!" the Zorua said, eventually pouncing into the region's "Professor"'s foot. The professor threw a Pokéball at the Zorua, and, since the Zorua doesn't know what's happening, it let the Pokéball capture it.

"Huh?! NO! LEMME OUT!" The Zorua had processed it's situation and banged across the sides of the (rather small) black void, eventually giving up. It sighed, sitting down and deciding to go to sleep.

Once she woke up, she found herself still in the ball. She sighed again, before being let out of the Pokéball, which panicked her. She turned around and got a good look at the professor.

The professor was a he, and he had gingery-brown hair. He had a big, fluffy beard, and a black shirt under a white lab coat. His pants were jeans, which is on average what all humans wear.

"My my, that was quite a rare find!" the Professor said before looking at his Pokédex, smiling, "Since you're the right level, I'll be able to put you up as a starter! Perfect!"

The Zorua sighed, and decided to accept her fate. She couldn't do much else, could she? She just decided to listen to what the professor was saying.

"...I have a group of trainers coming tomorrow in the morning, four of them, and along with the three other starters, this will be perfect..." he said, stroking his beard and putting Zorua back in a Pokéball.

She sighed, and went to sleep again.

 

(It seems like in every RP I go into, I always see people RPing as the same Pokémon every time. ...Not that there's anything wrong with it, but sometimes I feel like an outcast for always wanting to play as different Pokémon like Bibarel or something equally disliked. ...Then again, maybe I play as the Pokémon I do because I like them more. Bibarel actually happens to be one of my favorite Pokémon. That dopey smile is just way too cute to me.)

Meanwhile, near the tree the Absol was sleeping under, many Grass types were playing about. There was a Bellossom riding atop a Parasect, and seemed to be having quite a bit of fun playing about. Behind her a Sunflora was riding along. Also in the vicinity were a Whimsicott and a Breloom throwing a wad of grass around like a ball. All five of them seemed to have been having fun.

But there was something wrong with the situation. Although they were having fun now, the Bellossom had a twin sister: a rather mean Vileplume who liked pushing her sister around. The bellossom liked spending time with her friends because she felt safer around a lot of other Pokémon. But even they feared the large Vileplume, even the Breloom and Parasect did. The Bellossom spent most of her time here instead of at home, even sleeping near her friends more often than not.

But today, the Vileplume decided to seek her sister out. What was so intimidating about her was more or less how ugly she looked. She was a few inches taller than most Vileplume, she had bigger arms and legs, and to top it all off the eyes in her head were sunken into her head, and her mouth jutted out a bit, making her look about as ugly as she looked intimidating. And as bad luck would have it, she just found her sister with her friends.

"Hey Pipsqueek! Time to go home!" the Vileplume shouted. The Bellossom jumped off the Parasect along with her Sunflora friend and hid behind the Parasect. The Whimsicott and Breloom stood beside the Parasect, seeming to defend their friends. "Oh, so we want to do this the hard way," the Vileplume spouted as she approached the group. The group started to back down. There was only one of her but she was still rather intimidating.

(The Vileplume and Bellossom are kind of based off another pair of Vileplume/Bellossom OCs named Maude and Nadia, except while this Bellossom's about the same and Nadia, Maude is just as tough, except more protective of her sister as opposed to being a bully.)

 

The Zorua woke up to the noise of chatter, and she looked to her side. There, she saw three Pokémon, all seeming to be conversing through their Pokeballs. The Zorua walked up to the Pokémon, but then realised that the walls of the black void were still there, so she called out.

"HEY!" the Zorua said gaining the attention of the Pokémon, "Were you captured too?"

"No, we've always lived here!" the Fennekin said, smiling.

"Yeah..." the Snivy said, frowning.

"Honestly, I wish we were let out more," the Piplup said, sitting down, "why are you here anyways?"

"I-I was playing in some tall grass when... w-when... I was captured by the human," the Zorua answered.

"I'm so exited!"

"I know, we get to have our Pokémon!"

"But there's only three starters, and there are four of us, what shall we do?"

"I think the professor has something planned, so I wouldn't worry."

As the trainers entered the room, everything fell silent, the starter Pokémon being ready to be chosen.

"You're here!" the Professor said, "I'm glad to say that I managed to obtain a fourth Pokémon so you can all choose!"

The cheers lasted only a second, but then the Professor explained the Pokémon.

"The Penguin Pokémon, Piplup..."

"Ooo, that's me!" Piplup said, smiling.

"The Fox Pokémon, Fennekin..."

"That's me!" Fennekin said, hopping around.

"The Grass Snake Pokémon, Snivy..."

"..." Snivy stayed silent.

"And, the extra," the Professor started, "The Tricky Fox Pokémon, Zorua!"

All the Pokémon were let out of their Pokeballs, most of them smiling, while Zorua shied away.

"Go on! Take your pick!" the Professor said, gesturing towards the Pokémon.

"I want the fire fox!" one trainer said, picking up Fennekin and making them both smile.

"I want the grass snake!" another one said, picking up Snivy, who just rolled it's eyes.

"I want the water penguin!" the third one said, picking up Piplup, who smiled.

"...You guys overreact to everything," the last trainer said, "I guess all that's left is the extra..."

The last trainer went and picked up the Zorua carefully, not rushing it like the others. Zorua winced, but calmed down as the trainer stroked her fur.

"There there, I'm no threat," the trainer said, calming down the Zorua more.

"What are you doing?! Aren't you excited?!" the trainer with the Fennekin said, growling a bit (because humans can totally do that).

"Yes, I am excited, but I'm making sure the Pokémon has a good time as well," the Zorua trainer said, sighing.

"Well, are you going to give your Pokémon a nickname?" the Professor said, before the Fennekin trainer spoke up.

"I'm naming mine Ember!" she said, before the Snivy trainer piped up as well.

"I'm going to name mine... Tsutarja!" he said, squeezing Tsutarja, causing her to almost suffocate. Then the Piplup trainer spoke as well.

"My one's name is Fountain!" she said, causing a sigh from Fountain.

"Well, I'm going to ask my Pokémon first," the Zorua trainer said looking at his Pokémon.

"Nod your head if you're a girl, and shake your head if you're a boy," he asked the Zorua. She nodded.

"Okay, let me think..." he said, thinking about a name, "Morrigan?" Morrigan nodded.

"What are you doing?! You should choose the name, not them!" Ember's trainer said, causing a facepaw/vine/flipper/palm from all the Pokémon and Morrigan's trainer.

"You can't give them a name they don't like," Morrigan's trainer said, "then they won't respond to you and not listen during battle." Morrigan, Ember, Tsutarja and Fountain nodded, earning a sigh from the other trainers.

"Well then, here are your Pokedexes and five Pokeballs," the Professor handed each of them a box containing said items, "now you're all set!"

"Thanks professor, see you!" all the trainers, except Morrigan's trainer, rushed out the door without a second thought, though Morrigan's trainer was casually walking towards the door.

"Thank you Professor," Morrigan's trainer said, before the Professor asked him something.

"Tell me, what is your name?" He asked.

"My name? My name is Ben," Ben said, walking out the door.

"Ben..." the Professor said, "I have a feeling he's going to be a great trainer." He chuckled before going back to work.

(I feel as if this isn't short format, yet it is. Also, that trainer is my brother. Here is his trainer OC.)

The Absol's slumber was disrupted by yelling. The voice didn't sound familiar whatsoever; consequently, he didn't move to draw attention to himself. The Pokémon seemed aggressive and the Absol didn't want to get into a battle. He dug deep into his mind, trying to see if he could recognize that voice. He was unsuccessful, for he had never been in a forest, and ultimately. had never seen a Pokémon that dwell in the forests.

He couldn't stand it anymore; he HAD to see what all of the fuss was about. He slowly opened his eyes. He first took notice of the Pokémon, which was primarily green, with a darker shade of green and yellow leaves. It also had two red flowers atop it's head. He thought it looked adorable, although he had no idea what Pokémon it was. He then noticed where the hearth of the yelling that awoke him. This Pokémon he had seen before: a Vileplume, except it was quite large. It seemed to be scaring the little Pokémon and it's friends.

He opened his eyes a little more to get a better look at the situation. He forgot that his eyes were quite the contract to his green surroundings. Just as the Vileplume advanced toward the group of Pokémon, all of them discovered him, including the Vileplume. His cover was blown. He sat up and stared in fear at the group, praying that one of them aren't a fairy type.

 

Ben walked casually along the road, Morrigan walking beside him. They walked for a few minutes before finding some tall grass, where Ben stopped.

"Are you ready, Morrigan?" Ben asked Morrigan.

"For what?" Morrigan said, tilting her head.

Seeing her confusion, Ben explained, 'We're going to battle a wild Pokémon. You've done this before, haven't you?"

Morrigan nodded and smiled, understanding, "Good. Think you can sniff out a Pokémon?"

Morrigan stared at the tall grass, intent on looking for movement. She watched every strand of grass, waiting for the right moment...

Rustle.

Morrigan jumped into the tall grass, successfully pouncing on what seemed to be...

Pidgey.

BATTLE: [3D='zorua'] VS [3D='pidgey']

Pidgey flew out of Morrigan's grasp, using it's wings to blow dirt at Morrigan's eyes, causing Morrigan's accuracy to lower.
Pidgey used Sand Attack!

Morrigan got frustrated, standing in a battle ready pose. "Morrigan, use Scratch!"
Morrigan then revealed her claws, ran towards the Pidgey and scratched it, causing the HP bar to lower.

Pidgey decided to try and fly up, flying above morrigan then closing it's wings. Luckily, Morrigan jumped out of the way before being tackled.
Pidgey used Tackle! The attack missed!

Morrigan stayed calm, getting ready to use another move. "Now, use Pursuit!"
Morrigan started to have zigzag rings surround her, and she quickly struck the Pidgey, injuring it so much it looked like it was about to faint.

Ben used one Pokéball!

"Good job Morrigan!" Ben said, walking up to Morrigan and giving her a pet, causing her to smile. He then walked over to the Pidgey and picked it up, putting it on his belt.

"We'll ask him what name he wants when we heal him," Ben said, continuing on the trail, Morrigan following behind.

They walked along the path, sometimes encountering wild Pokémon, before reaching the next town.

"Here's the next town," Ben said, "I think the others are probably here already, due to how early they left."

"BEN!" A voice called out from the Pokémon center, making Ben look their way.

"Oh hey!" Ben said, walking over to the Pokémon center.

"Why did you take so long?" the Snivy trainer asked, their Pokémon nowhere to be seen.

"Well I wasn't RUSHING it like you, Wellt," Ben answered.

"How could we not rush it?! We wanna fight the first gym already!" the Fennekin trainer said, her Pokémon not present either.

"Calm down, Dyn," Ben said to the Fennekin trainer, whose name was Dyn, "Did you level up your Pokémon at all?"

"...No..." they all said in unison.

"Did you catch other Pokémon?" Ben said.

"...No..." they said again.

"Alright then. While I go and heal the Pidgey I caught and give it a name, you should start training your Pokémon," Ben said, walking into the Pokémon center.

"Hi! Welcome to the Pokémon Center, where we can heal your team back to full health! Would you like us to heal your Pokémon?" the Nurse behind the counter said, smiling.

"Yes please," Ben said, "Morrigan, you need to go back into your Pokéball for this. Are you okay with that?" Morrigan nodded.

"Alright," Ben said, pulling out Morrigan's Pokéball and pressing the button, sending the red lightning out and absorbing Morrigan.

He sat down, waiting for the healing process to finish, and he heard his name get called up. He stood up, collected his Pokémon, and took them both out of their Pokeballs.

"Pidgey, do you have a nickname?" Ben asked the Pidgey. He shook his head.

"Alright... Do you want one?" Pidgey nodded.

"Hmm... so... what about Brave wing?" Pidgey shook his head.

"Golden wing?" Pidgey shook his head.

"...Valiant?" Pidgey put on a big grin and nodded his head.

"Alright then! Your name is Valiant!" Ben said, "Do you want to be in your Pokéball?" Valiant shook his head.

"Alright," Ben said, walking with both of his Pokémon out the door.

The trio walked until they were in front of the first gym.

"Here we go," Ben said, "the gym."

(I nearly lost this holy crap. Welp, I got it back XD And current team...)

The Vileplume, Mildred, looked over at the Absol and payed little attention to him. He was of no concern to her. Eventually she resumed her advance towards the group.

"I'm not going to say this again Nina, let's go home," Mildred said.

"But I'm playing with my friends," Nina said. "We're having fun right now."

"Well it's past your curfue," Mildred said. "Now let's go."

Suddenly, Nina payed attention to the Absol.

"Hey! Who are you?" Nina asked. "What did you come here for?"

 

"I'm... I'm Damien" the Absol replied apprehensively. He faked a smile to try not to seem threatening, although it hardly worked.

"I went looking around the forest near my territory and I kinda got lost... D-do you think you could help me?"

He was still in fear that one of the Pokémon would attack him. All the Pokémon besides the Vileplume and the Pokémon he was talking to seemed scared of him, so he gave up on the smile; he knew it wasn't working. He sat down and waited for her to reply.

 

"Sure, I could help you," Mildred stated. "Just as soon as I tuck Nina in for bed."

"She's not a bad person," Nina stated. "She's just... sort of a bully. She thinks that since she's bigger and older that she gets all this power over me, and she doesn't realize how I feel about it."

"How YOU feel?" Mildred asked. "Who cares how YOU feel? Rule are rules! Let's go!"

"Alright... alright," Nina said as she got off the Parasect and went torward her sister. "You win, I'll go home."

"Good girl," Mildred said as she immediately seized her arm and dragged her off. Their home was conveniently placed only a few feet away from Nina's playing area. Eventually, Mildred opened a small door in the ground and put her in the house before slamming the door on Nina. "Now remember, if I catch you outside while I'm gone, you're history. Got it?"

 

Ben, Morrigan and Valiant walked into the Gym and instantly noticed something; it was rock-type. Stalagmites were coming out of the ground, and the ground itself was rock. It looked like a cave.

"How do the gym leaders manage to stay here?" Ben said out loud, gaining a shrug from both his Pokémon.

They walked down the path before being met by a youngster, most likely a trainer.

"Hey, you!" He said, smirking, "You wanna challenge the gym leader?"

"Yeah, I do, anything wrong with that?" Ben asked the enthusiastic boy.

"You're nowhere close to beating him!" he said, laughing, "Come at me!"

"Alright then," Ben said, Morrigan getting ready.

BATTLE: (Ben) VS

Youngster sent out Sudowoodo!

Morrigan was the first to move. "Morrigan, use Pursuit!"
Morrigan did as instructed, allowing the zigzag rings to surround her and she bolted towards the Rock-type, hitting.

The Sudowoodo then got ready for battle. "Sudowoodo! Use Low Kick!"
The Sudowoodo's feet started to glow a browny-orangy colour as he suddenly started running surprisingly fast, sweeping down and sliding, kicking Morrigan straight in the chest.

Morrigan fainted!

Ben went to see if Morrigan was okay, and returned her.

"Valiant, you ready?" Ben asked Valiant. He hesitantly nodded, walking up to the front and getting ready to battle.

"Sudowoodo, use Rock Throw!"
Valiant had no time to react as Sudowoodo suddenly threw rocks at him, causing him to faint.

Valiant fainted!

Ben lost the battle!

Ben returned Valiant, rushing out of the gym and into the Pokémon center.
He gave the lovely Nurse Joy his Pokeballs, and sat down on one of the couches, waiting for his Pokémon to be healed.

"*sigh* I... have to train more," Ben said.

(HAHA! Gym OP.)

 

Sitting close to Ben, a girl heard him saying he needed to train more and started a conversation with him
"You try fighting the gym?"

 

"Yeah..." Ben said, frowning, "I got destroyed by a trainer."

 

"Yeah, that gym is tough, I had trouble and I had a Water-Type, and the leader is really strong, especially with that Carbink of his, its one tough Rock-Type" She said, having a smile on her face the entire time. "I'm Gwen, by the way, what's your name?"

 

"My name is Ben," Ben said, cheering up a bit and smiling, "I just started off on my journey, got my Pokémon about eight hours ago I think."

 

"And you're already facing the gym? Thats not the best idea." Just then, a chime sounded and a nurse came to the desk. "Gwen, your Pokémon are healed and all ready to go."
Gwen ran up to the counter, taking her Poke balls and going back over to Ben. "How about i Introduce my Pokémon? Come on out Guys!" she said, bringing her Pokémon out of their Poke Balls, now there was a Totodile, Floette, Amaura and Excadrill standing in front of Ben. "These are my partners, The Totodile is Enki, The Floette is Bebe, The Excadrill is Simon and the Amaura is Amy"

 

The chime sounded for Ben to come up to the counter, and he said, "Hold on a sec," running over, collecting his Pokémon and running back.

"These are my two current Pokémon," Ben said, throwing out his Pokeballs, Morrigan and Valiant appearing out of them. Valiant perched on Ben's shoulder, while Morrigan climbed up and sat on his head.

"The Zorua is Morrigan, and the Pidgey is Valiant," Ben said, "I let them decide on the names themselves."

 

He shuddered slightly at the sight of how cruel the Vileplume was to it's own sister. If he had had a younger sibling, he would be best friends with him. Why would the other Pokémon say the Vileplume wasn't a bad person he thought. Well maybe siblings are just like that.

"So, erm... where are the mountains from here?" He asked hesitantly.

 

(I hope I'm not too rusty with RPing...)

Another trainer, accessing the PC, noticed a couple of trainers talking to one another. The next minute there was a flash and four Pokémon had emerged. A few seconds later, another flash, and another two Pokémon.
He looked in closer...An Excadrill... A Floette... an Amaura? "Pretty rare" He thought to himself. He continued looking. A Totodile too? Probably all the way from Johto... A Pidgey... nothing too special... and a...a Zorua!?

Upon seeing the Illusion Pokémon he quickly logged out of the PC and walked over to the two trainers. Slightly nervous about confrontation, he couldn't help but sound a bit shaky-voiced. Still, he sounded inquisitive.

"Er... Excuse me? Is that... Is that a Zorua?"

(Sprite of him for reference. Yes, it's my avatar sprite. )

 

"Sure, I can show you there," Mildred said. "I'm always going there to train. Right this way."

Mildred eventually lead the Absol to where he asked him to go.

...But of course a certain someone who was SUPPOSED to stay at home was planning to sneak out once Mildred and the Absol were gone. Nina saw her friends at the door, and quickly opened up to greet them.

"We have to make this quick guys," Nina said. "My sister could be here any minute."
