AUs and other fan projects

    AUs, or alternate universes, are spinoffs of content often created by fans. Popular recurring AUs are your coffee shops, fantasy worlds, personality reversals and so on, but the possibilities are limited only by your imagination! There could be an AU for Pokémon where every trainer is Australian, an AU for Naruto in which everyone is a pirate instead of a ninja, or an AU for Final Fantasy that replaces weapons with toy ducks. Sometimes a lot of thought and work goes into developing an AU and some form of fanfiction, comic, roleplay etc will result from it.
    Have you created any AUs of your own, and made anything for them? Are there any created by other people that you really like and think are worth mentioning? Perhaps you haven't made one but want to? If so, what for?

    I did an AU esc thing once where I sent a trainer back in time to before the ice age when they hadn't even discovered writing yet. They didn't need to because back hen, tehy had traits for surviving thart we only dream or read about today. Adding Pokémon was fun, although this can be seen more of a crossover

    Both of my current fanfiction projects are based on AUs. Well, one's probably more of a crossover where the characters of Pokémon Adventures are thrown into the plot of Jak II.

    I create AUs all the time, and most of them never see the light of day because I never put them on paper, haha. AUs, especially modern AUs, are some of my favorite fanfics to read. :D

    I've created a few AU's but most of them are for the purpose of parody. They're humor centered, and in them the fourth wall may as not well exist.

    It's an alternate universe where OCs know they are OCs in a story, and every individual story is melding with everyone else's. Underpowered and "normal" OCs spend most of their time avoiding the adventurous and romantic exploits of overpowered OCs that are used to getting anything they want. Honestly, it's mostly a parody of the frustrating parts of fanfics and OCs as a whole. I have a few stories planned in this parody-verse, but only one written and I need to go back and revise it...
