Avatar is a TV show that is easily loved by many people of different age and gender groups. My grandparents love it, teenagers love it, my parents love it, little kids love, and of course, I love it. I mean, what's not to like about this:

Do you watch Avatar: The Last Airbender? If not, what have you been doing with your life? Who is your favorite character? Favorite thing about the show? Did you ever watch The Legend of Korra? What did you think of it?

Avatar is a show I'm willing to call my favorite of all time, so much that I've probably seen every episode at least 5-6 times by now. Picking a favorite character is probably the hardest part about it, as the cast of character is brilliant, with a wide variety of hilarious, yet different personalities. The plot is essence is nothing out of the ordinary, but the way it is told, with the setting and characters, makes it rather charming and memorable, and I enjoyed every last episode of it.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH! I loved Avatar: The Last Airbender, it is honestly one of my favorite shows. I never really went through with watching Legend of Korra mainly because I never found the time to watch it, though I have heard great things.
I really love the character development as the series progresses. It's very hard to find a favorite character, so I'm not going to choose one. The story and more so the characters really give me life.
Also, I want an uncle like Iroh.

yoo this show was a great part of my pre teen years. all the adventures that aang and the gang went through were awesome and the amount of character development blew me away. my favorite characters ought to be either uncle iroh and sokka( DRINK CACTUS JUICE)
but let us remember the real villain here

Favorite show of all time? I'd certainly agree. The show developed the story so well throughout the three seasons and of course was hilarious the whole way through. The depth behind each character is really quite impressive, and so many characters were given development and complexity. And, you know, magically throwing around fire and rocks.

Man, they repeated this show over and over again on Nickelodeon, yet I've still not seen every episode (I don't even know how it ended, lol). It was certainly one of my favourite shows back in my younger years and I've seen the legend of Korra as well (Wang still needs his own show!)
My favourite character has to be Sokka. No one can beat this boomerang-loving guy!
At the other hand... did you guys know I once had a dream in which I was in the castle of the Fire Lord along with Zuko and we were kissing? I was ten back then and it was really strange >_>

Not a bad thing to be said about it. Avatar TLA was fantastic, and in my opinion Avatar Korra was even better.

The story and characters were so well thought-out, and so expertly executed, that I think the entirety of the extended series (comics included) will stand as a monument of American animation for decades to come, at least. I've seen each episode of Avatar TLA 2-4 times, and I've seen Korra start to end several times through as well, plus some repeats like the end of Korra's Book 3 and start of Book 4. The only criticism I have for the entire series is that a lot of TLA characters seemed stereotypical of their elements. Here's Zuko, the fire stereotype, with a bad temper. Toph, the earth stereotype, tough as nails and not too nice. Katara just has to be sweet and adaptable and Aang is light-hearted and carefree. In Korra, though, all that changed. Bolin is a teddy bear, Mako is calm and controlled, Korra seems to like her fire more than her water, and it felt like characters weren't being typecast into their nations/ethnicities. An enjoyable change in the casting department.

Oh my gosh, I remember watching season one of ATLA before it became popular. I loved the show then but I became obsessed with it when it started airing on Nickelodeon even more a few years afterwards. I love so many of the characters because they are all so intricate and intrinsically developed alongside the plot. If I had to pick a number one favorite it would have to be Ty Lee, because she is so inspiring and fun to watch. The fact that she can't bend and appears to be an innocent cute girl from the circus doesn't stop her from being one of the most powerful and threatening characters in the series. She invented chi blocking and can pull off ridiculously inhuman acrobatics making her able to defeat any bender she can successfully strike and even non benders by immobilizing them as well. All of that on top of her personality makes her an amazing character!

Just look at how amazing she is XD

My favorite aspects about the show are pretty much everything about it, characters, animation, soundtrack, plot, and even the comedy lol. Everything is just balanced so perfectly that I can rewatch the series over and over and it never gets old. I have seen the Legend of Korra and it was really good, but I liked ATLA just a slight bit more.

Well, girl, Zuko is a pretty fine looking man, if you get past the huge scar he has. Who wouldn't like a man like him?

Oh god they repeated the Last Airbender so much on tv that I'm pretty sure I saw every episode at least 4 or 5 times xD Because of that I kinda burned out from it and didnt watch Korra. But that doesnt mean I like the show any less, everything about it is just really really good and I definitely didnt mind watching it all those times.
