We're using the non-scientific definition of the word, so fish, insects etc. are all valid answers.
I think it would be nice to come back as a cat. So here's the thing: I don't want to be a wild animal hunting for my own food, nor do I want to be livestock, nor do I want to live in a zoo. That really narrows down my options to being a pet. Sleeping most of the day, enjoying seafood, curling up on human lap. All of that sounds rather pleasant.
You've made a lot of topics today, Dawn. *claps* I'd probably be a river otter. While the fox is my favorite animal, the life of an otter would be a bit more fun for me, and I love to swim, too. The reason being is because I love seafood, and getting to swim all day and being loved by some humans is just an ideal life for me. And while it can be dangerous, I don't really have a reason to fear. If I retained all memory, then I could just use that knowledge to my advantage to survive. As for the life I'd lead? Probably a peaceful one with friends and family alike. I like peace and quiet, and I'm sure otters do as well, even with the wild dangers of predators.
A dog for me, with a hopefully loving owner. I've seen the immense attention dog owners give to their pets and it's so insanely sweet haha. Cats too of course, but dogs are such happy, affectionate animals that their owners respond in kind and it results in such a wonderful friendship! I'd love to be that cute golden retriever that gets coddled by their owner. ♡ ...Though I'm not sure what having my previous memories would do for me other than make me sad to have left everyone behind aha.
Can I be a Pokémon? Probably a dog, too. Dogs get looked after by humans and have easier lives than most other animals out there because of that. Plus, there are a lot of people who pet random dogs, and I like attention .
I think I'd probably like to be a horse, either wild or domesticated. They're just beautiful creatures, they're not carnivores (I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm not particularly fond of meat, so having a meat based diet really doesn't sound all that appealing), and I love seeing horses run. They're just so majestic.
I’d want to be a sea creature of some sort, probably a seal. I love seals (actually I have 6 seal plushies) and seals are chubby and cute.
Definitely a bottlenose dolphin. They’re intelligent, gorgeous, and very fast. The only downside is the possibility of being held captive in a zoo or research facility. That doesn’t sound very enjoyable.
A parrot, probably a budgerigar. Since I keep all the memories of my previous life, I will remember how to speak grammatically correct English, do math problems, and so on. All left is to train myself to "talk" as a parrot, which... will take a lot of time and training. However, since I have the memories of being human, I will understand human behaviour and be able to become the next cultural phenomenon. This is my first step towards world domination. Also parrots are loud and I wanna be loud.
