Backgrounds are the biggest thing I try to avoid when it comes to art. I just don't know how to tackle them. Do you guys do backgrounds for you art? Any tips? I think its pretty obvious I don't like doing them since I usually make my art transparent or have a solid colored background. I guess you could say I'm a little scared to try and make a background haha.
I don't usually use backgrounds, and when I do they're really simple. I've been experimenting with them more recently, though. It might take a little while before I'm drawing things with super complex backgrounds, though.
I also don't like backgrounds. I dunno, I'm afraid it will* make my art look weird, so I rarely draw them.
I Also Rarely Draw Them. But If I Do, I Mostly Will Do A Simple One-Only Concept Art Or Special Artwork Will Feature A Detailed Background.
I don't draw backgrounds very much, mostly due to the fact I'm terrible at them. I'm okayish at landscapes I guess (trees, mountains, etc), but buildings are a nightmare for me to draw. I'm not completely terrible at patterned backgrounds either, but I rarely finish them because they always take so damn long to do.
backgrounds? thats a funny way to spell "death" but i tend to do my bgs either simple or complex depending on what i feel suits the piece better? if its more of a piece that has to have a certain environment to work ill do a complex one and if its just a half body i might go for a simple 3 color bg. anyone on discord knows what my simple bgs look like lol for my complex bgs i just tend to use a softer and more subtle brush? of course its my own style where i prefer the characters popping out over the bg..... sometimes i add details with a normal brush but for the most part my bgs are done with watercolor-ish brushes
I haven't really done backgrounds much, though I think I'm going to try and start incorporating them into my art more as I go on. They probably won't be very detailed, but will hopefully improve composition.
I usually make a simple background, or simply make it transparent. For the simple backgrounds, I usually put a random colour that I believe is suitable, then put a bunch of white lines behind it. I don't make complex backgrounds unless the character is located in somewhere specific.
It's usually no background, or some random color for a background, or what I started doing: random shape as background with some color and possibly texture. Just something to break things up in the back. Usually I'll do a more detailed background only if I already had a certain setting in mind when I started the picture.
I struggle a lot with backgrounds so I don't draw them very much. I really need to start practicing on it if I can find the motivation.
Most of my backgrounds are simple stuff really. I can't do detailed backgrounds because I lack patience.
I feel okay with backgrounds. I get a little stressed if I go a few pics without a background. I struggle if I don't plan the background in the sketching phase. Like sometimes I draw just a person or a creature, photoshop them then think "whoops I have no idea for a background??" But if I plan from the start I'm all good.
